I like Freddy better, because he has personality....and I just prefer the NOES films.
As far as who would win, I think Freddy has some advantages, and Jason has some. But since neither can truly die apparently (already being dead and all :rolleyes: ), then neither could ever really win. Depends on who is having the better day I guess.....;)

Well, neither of them ever die, so I thought the whole idea has been pretty silly from the start.

I prefer Freddy for his charisma but the f-13 films were better for me.

Don't like Freddy, never have, and A Nightmare on Friday the 13th :rolleyes: was just the final nail in the coffin.

Jason is hella more scary than cheesy old Freddy, even when I watched the origanal nightmare again the other week he just seemed cheesy...

That's how I feel about Jason, I find nothing scary about him at all. The movies are entertaining enough I guess, but never been a huge fan.

Freddy's a more interesting character, but he got bastardized (pardon the pun!) after Part 3.

Freddy just makes me smile.

Jason would win in a fight because even if he couldn't kill him, he could tear him apart.

I have always been a big fan of the friday the 13th movies but to tell you the truth, none have ever been able to rival the 3rd Nightmare on Elmstreet (The best of the Elmstreet movies) . The closest they came was friday the 13th part 7, the best of the Jason movies in my opinion. Oh and in response to something said earlier about json just being a zombie; he is not just a zombie, he is a manifested curse (the curse of his mother upon camp crystal lake).

emily (my 3yr old) loves horror movies as a matter of fact we r watching freddy vs jason right now! but her fave movie now is the grudge, she wants to watch it atleast once aday and i gladly oblige!!!!!!

This is getting close, Jason is on the comeback, and the good thing is it will go on forever, and ever and ever and ever.....

LOL at Jason: he gets killed by a girl with an axe in the 3rd, by a 12 yo child in the 4th, by an even younger kid in the 5th, etc.
He is not immortal, because the film ends when he dies. Then in the next episode he's still there, like Kenny in South Park.

Freddy has his powers, his world in which he is pretty much invincible.

Jason is like a normal human being, big but dumb. He just have the luck to always fight against idiots. And yes, he comes back in every film with no reason at all.

He didn't die in Pt 3 and he wasn't in Pt 5.. It is always explained how he comes back, maybe you should pay more attention when you watch a movie.

Freddy is so much fun, and the idea that he can get you in your nightmares makes for more original deaths than just getting hacked to pieces.

Who would win in a fight doesn't really matter as stated a million times but in the scenario in Freddy vs. Jason.... Jason has a serious handicap due to the fact that Freddy has already caused all the victims to be sleep deprived. So Freddy is still better.

They both rock, but I would rather choose Jason than Freddy...

I think Jason had an edge over Freddy. No amount of super natural powers can beat a guy who can comeback to life over and over and over again.

I can't remember which one, it was one of the later ones where they don't explain how he came back

Freddy vs Jason-Freddy revives him.

In Jason goes to Hell he was dead but his soul was passed on through people eating his heart .... basically...

All I remember from the movie was Jason's head looking like a toe, Kane Hodder playing someone besides Jason, and the black dude talking about hot dogs and donuts.

Yeah, but my key point in this debate is... Jason doesn't dream... Didn't they have to completely sedate him in the movie to make Freddie take him on?

Or am I remembering incorrectly?

I still maintain that Jason won - Freddy's weakness: Must use sleep to get victims.

Jason has no such weakness.
