They both have upsides, how ever the origanal has no down sides...

I dig both but the original wins hands down. All the Massacre series is decent apart from the Next Generation

I liked the original and remake about the same.

I'd choose the '74 version and part 3 over any of the other films in the series.

My favorite is "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2".

I have the "supposedly" uncut, never before seen in the UK version.

The original is better by far - you just can't get a better freaky hitchhiker. The hitchhiker in the remake was just disappointing.
