enjoying these newly-discovered horror forums and, going through the pages of old threads, see many many posters with a vast and great and respectful knowledge of the horror world. a pleasure knowing there are people so down with the genre as a whole (put my meagre horror background to shame!)

hehe you got me avenger, would have to get up pretty early to catch you out! love that movie, in many ways for me it is the perfect slasher.. has a great lead character that i personally feel coulda been more developed than a lot of the other 2d villains.. movie has the right combination of shlock, humor, gore and a fair mini-commentary on corporate america to boot.

a guilty pleasure of mine but glad you spotted it, cheers!

actually, i hate it. i hate it because it terrorizes me no matter how many times i see it!! i was raised a catholic so it (and the omens) did a hell of a number on the old pumpkin. naw it's an amazing movie, the tinkling keyboard score, the mayhem in the room, i'm actually getting chilled right now recalling it.

ever read the book 'possession' i think it's called, upon which the movie was based? about a young boy in georgetown hospital in d.c., well worth it if you like reading. diary format, the boy would have his eyes closed but be able to spit incredibly accurately all over the priest's face from all sorts of crazy angles. the excorcist explained that he would hold his prayer book in front of his face but the boy would ingeniously lob spits in arcs over the book and onto his face. jeez after five minutes of that i woulda taken a dump on the kid's head and left!

no big thing i was raised catholic too. and no i havent read it but ill put it on my list. i read a lot so hearing about new books is one of my faviorte thngs about this site.

yes indeed, the topic on satanics is directly because of our posts in here! incidentally, what do you think about heretic? i've heard people call it the worst movie ever but some die-hards defend it and say it's at least pretty trippy in parts?
