This is going to be another killer from the man who gave us Undying. Anyone else excited for this as much as I am? |
Having played Undying, I'm looking foward to this.
I need to get a PS3 for work anyways so I'll probably see it on that... Anyways, undying was one of the most, and still IS one of the most effectually scary FPS games I've ever played. The atmosphere was perfection. Between then and now I've always wondered what another Barker game would be like with newer technology available for development, looks like we'll get to see. ...Personally, I think this one could well have people saying "Bioshock? What's Bioshock?" We shall see. Yes, very much looking foward to another terrifying game. |
The PC demo is out, head to Fileplanet and grab it right this second.
I'm in "line" as I type... |
Whoa...I m running there.......WAIT FOR MEEEEEE!!!
:D |
Demo is on xbox live....i'll be grabbing it tomorrow.
|
Played the pre-release copy on PS3 at work yesterday.
What a tasty fucking game...I'll be buyng this for sure. |
I was sick of the lack of content on the UK store so i started a US account, downloaded this & Stranglehold. Jerico looks like its going to be very special. Great graphics, the team element works well too. Reminds me of a hokey old PC game a few years back called Painkiller.
|
A lot more structured than painkiller...that whole game was just one wave of enemies after the other. Chunky combat, and nice graphics, but it got old.
Definately a lot more depth and storyline in Jericho from what I've went through thus far. |
Yeah Painkiller was a mindless blaster i was really talking of the graphical style of the game reminded me of certain levels on Painkiller.
|
Yeah ive played the demo on 360....and i shall definatly be buying it.:D
|
Super short demo, I liked going through the cave/tunnel but I'm not so sure about the active time sequences or whatever they call the button pressing stuff in this game.

I expected this to be good, but damn! This kicks some serious ass!! Never did I feel so thrilled before (and that too while playing a demo) before.:D |
I'm just itching to play as the other chars.
|
PC Gamer gave this an abysmal score (57%). Apparently it is doom 3 meets fear meets quake, but lacks any of what made those 3 great
|
It's a scary game (played demo on ps3) but it's no Undying.
I don't really like the way the ingame controls work, and your characters move much too slowly. There's a lot of confusion...the whole darkness thing makes it just a bit annoying IMO, can't see some things until they're attacking you. One cool thing was the interchangeable characters each having very individual traits and powers...but still, I wasn't thrilled. Don't get me wrong, I WILL eventually get this game, but the demo left me underwhelmed after looking out for this so long. |
Nosferatu-the wrath of malachi is the best horror game ever made

However, very good ambient sounds, look and atmosphere, I'll give it that much. I much preferred Undying. |

|
Its supposed to be pretty awful...
Undying was where it was at though. |
I've heard nothing good about it so far. The demo is supposed to be good, but the game sucks from what I hear.
|
i downloaded and beat the demo. the graphics are fucking awesome, and my new computer runs it like a dream, the character animation rules too....but absolutley everything else sucks. terrible gameplay.

Clive Barker's Jerico
You guys seem to not like Jerico too much...Think I'll skip it...Undying was an awesome game, it definatly RULED...Really thought "Clive Barker" would get involved in another game...
|
I'm sold
In 5 years when I get the money for a 360, I'm going to pick up F.E.A.R. and this game. Anything Barker is good by me.
