Any One Watching the Hitchcock Marathon?

AMC is running some Hitch flicks
any other fans in the house?

so far i've watched Rear Window, and The Birds; i think Marnie is next
TCM also seems to have a minor thing running

is it the anniversary or something? can't figure out what the occasion is, not that i'm complaining or anything :D

missmacabre 09-17-2007 05:06 PM

I'm a big fan but seeing as I don't get AMC or TCM I am out of luck. I'll just stick to my nice coffee table book.

tachii 09-17-2007 05:10 PM

that sucks sour saggy balls!

i'm actually looking forward to the stuff they will be showing this up coming horror season. i really love this time of year! it feels like christmas

great avatar by the way

missmacabre 09-17-2007 05:16 PM

yes, that is the exact description I would have used haha.

I really hate September though. They play crappy movies over and over again because they're saving the good ones for October.

and thanks... it's one of the forum ones obviously but I see where you're going with the hitchcock thing.

tachii 09-17-2007 05:22 PM

actually i could have said not being able to watch a hitch marathon is as akward as watching don henley playing hop scotch nude with his tally wacked jiggeling everywhere

september isn't that bad; i see it as a warm up for the good stuff ;)
every gal needs something to look forward to, but yeah october is way better
i've already got the DVR schedule loaded with stuff i want to watch

some of the website stuff is decent
now i want a new avatar!

You have saggy balls?

And no unfortunatly I can't watch the marathon, I broke my tv... And the week before Heroes second season comes on... god I hope i can get another tv....

missmacabre 09-17-2007 05:30 PM

Well September in Canada sucks. Not only is the weather absolutely shitty, so are the movies. The Scream channel has been playing boring early 90s movies. Like Killer Klowns from outer space, and the 1978 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

I may just stay up until 4 am to watch some behind the scenes of Masters of Horror.

You're lucky I want respect in this forum because your humor makes me hate you.

and Heroes will be on the internet right after it airs. Always is.

Really, so tell me, what are the things that make you love me? Is it my beautiful eyes? or my ass? Its my ass isn't it? God why was a born with this ultra-sexy ass? Now all people see is my ass and not the person that sits upon it... I swear... if I catch one more woman staring at my ass while im talking to them im going to go nutz.

Yeah it's a Canada thing haha. Um there's an american equivelent but I don't remember the name. Like, you guys have the Sci-Fi channel and we have the Space channel. Same difference though, same shows, same miniseries.

Masters of Horror is the only good thing going right now, keeping me sane and keeping me from making too many blind buys at the discount store.

sci-fi sucks; it's like the equivelant of the pax channel (actually i think they changed their name to ion). if you remember to equivelant please let me know

i really haven't seen too many MOH; any recommendations?

missmacabre 09-17-2007 05:43 PM

other post? oh...

Yes, we have Trailor Park Boys. It's hard to find Canadian programming without weed in it these days.

watch "Cigarette Burns, and Pelts" those are 2 of my 3 favorites, the other one i can't remember the name for, but it involved zombies, and it was based around the victorian time-period I believe.

Incident on and off a mountain road, and Jenifer. Although most people prefered pelts to Jenifer. I'm just a fan of Argento so I'm sure either one is good.

Its hard to find any program on tv that doesn't contain weed in them in one way or another, whether it be 1 episode or all.

Spellbound is one of my favorite Hitchcock films. Watch it, watch it as soon as you possibly can......:D
But I didn't realize there was a Hitchcock marathon on, do you know if Frenzy is popping up? I don't think my husband has seen that one yet.

NOOOOOOOooooooooo!!!!!!

tachii 09-17-2007 05:59 PM

dial m was on earlier; i always liked that one; the remake wasn't too bad either.

marnie was great and so was birds, sabetour (don't know if i spelled that right), rear window...i really can't remember the rest!

Psycom5k 09-17-2007 06:01 PM

Now, I'm not a diehard fan of Hitchcocks so I couldn't rattle off names like that, but I do enjoy his work. Alot of the films i've seen him do were really really good. But like I said im not a huge fan of his so I don't know alot of the names.....

tachii 09-17-2007 06:10 PM

you should look into it what have you got to loose
the only one i didn't like was mr. and mrs. smith (not the brangelina flic  )

i spent an entire watching nothing but hitch:cool:
even the silent films

The Birds is probably the ONLY Hitchcock film I have seen that I didn't care for. Frenzy is my favorite, Psycho is another favorite, along with Rope, Strangers on a Train (and as I already mentioned, Spellbound is also favorite of mine). And I think Vertigo is one of the most well made films I have ever seen.

AmericanManiac 09-18-2007 03:54 AM

I caught The Birds, I wish I knew it was a marathon because I would of been watching everyone!!

illdojo 09-18-2007 09:43 AM

Thanks for the heads-up, Tachii.
Vertigo is on tonight. I will be watching. ;)

tachii 09-18-2007 12:20 PM

no problem

don't forget TCM also has a minor thing going; not as organised but still worth a look

frenzy is actually the only R rated Hitch flic
i thought that was weird (must have been the tit shots)

still haven't seen spellbound in any of the listings :(
i only have two movies to go before i can officially say i have seen every single Hitch flic :D
