I Need A Little Assistance

I don't usually use my Yahoo eMail, and now that I'm trying to, I think it's screwed up...I'm not receiving anything from the site, even though it says it has been sent...AND, when I tried to send an eMail to myself it says 'Delivery Failure Notice: Remote host said: 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account ([email protected])'

But...I happen to know that I DO

So...If someone could please send (or ATTEMPT to send) an eMail to [email protected], so that I could see if I actually receive it, or if YOU receive a delivery failure notice, I would really appreciate it

AmericanManiac 09-13-2007 06:17 AM

Mine sent through.

Thanks for helping :)...I just checked...I haven't received anything...Check yours and see if you got a failure notice or something...

Do you have Yahoo?...Maybe it takes a while to receive things or something?...I really don't know, but with my Hotmail it's instant, shows up immediately

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for Yahoo eMails to show up?

Didnt work, BR.

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

[email protected]

Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 16): 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account ([email protected]) [-5] - mta262.mail.re2.yahoo.com.

Sorry.

See?...What the hell is up with that?...Is Yahoo just screwy or what?...What would be the reason that someone couldn't receive eMails?

Thanks for trying, btw :)

Yahoo does that sometimes. For awhile its real quick, but sometimes it takes 2-3 days to get an email.

I rarely use mine. Gmail is good and fast for me.

Oh...That is REALLY weird

My Hotmail is awesome...I've never experienced problems like this...Hmm...Now it will be impossible to fix my forum SN...Stupid Yahoo

Thanks again for trying...Guess I just gotta let it go...

Ya know, it's kinda funny...All of the stupid SPAM gets into the Yahoo eMail just FINE:mad:

AmericanManiac 09-13-2007 06:32 AM

I use hotmail, I have no failure notice. Yeah gmail and hotmail are the best imo.

_____V_____ 09-13-2007 06:32 AM

Mine did that to me too. I had to change addy.

AmericanManiac 09-13-2007 06:44 AM

Scratch my last post, I just checked my email again and have a failure notice. Has it been awhile since your last login?

Rayne 09-13-2007 06:44 AM

Okay...I changed the eMail address and it actually worked this time...Thanks again :)

_____V_____ 09-13-2007 06:47 AM

Your welcome. Most of the time yahoo does screw up its email servers for some reason.

Well, I've never used the eMail part, but I use the YIM every now and then...I last signed into the YIM yesterday morning...

It's okay...I'm just not going to try to use that one

Now...Does anyone know how to make my avatar fit?

_____V_____ 09-13-2007 07:06 AM

I use ACDSee and it comes with a trimmer for bmp and jpg images. Send me what pic you want as avatar and I ll send it back, trimmed.;)

If you could just do my regular one, that would be awesome :)...I've tried EVERY file type (the 16bit bmp sux, btw...haha) and NOTHING fits...I even tried to upload it through remote host and it STILL wouldn't work

I honestly believe that Horror intended to set the limit at 20.4KB instead of 2.4KB, because that's just impossible with the 150X150 pixels that he increased it to...Damned typo screwing up everyone's avatars...How lame?

I think he was trying to set it at 24 KB and somehow missed a . in it. Anyway for the max resolution of 150x150 at 2.4 KB, it brings out very shitty results.

I favor the 100x100 one myself. At 2.4 KB, its the most decent looking one.

Ok am going your regular one and sending it on PM...

I will truly be amazed if you can manage it :)
