hills have eyes 2 question.

Okay, i'm borrowing a copy of the hils have eyes 2 (so please answer soon) and i have found out there is an alternate ending, but try as i might, i can't find it. does anyone know how to get to it?

XtRaVa 08-29-2007 03:38 AM

It's in the section where you'd find deleted scenes, making-of, etc. I haven't seen this movie, but I'm pretty sure that both endings would suck. :p

ferretchucker 08-29-2007 03:45 AM

that's where i've been looking and i've watched everything in that section, the only bit a i saw o the alternate ending was a flash of it on the opening credits of mutant attacks.

XtRaVa 08-29-2007 04:00 AM

Dont know then. Is it the correct DVD version? Like is there a normal and special edition version of the DVD?

Failing that, maybe youtube will have the alternate ending.

ferretchucker 08-29-2007 05:26 AM

well, i think, from what i've read that this has it on somewhere, unless it's only on the unrated edition.

tachii 08-29-2007 01:36 PM

most likely

Zero 08-29-2007 05:33 PM

in an alternate universe

Disease 08-30-2007 01:06 AM

I watched it last night but I haven't looked at the special features yet. Why do they release so many different versions of dvds in the UK instead of just one with everything like they do in Australia?

Zero 08-30-2007 04:13 AM

because the postcolonial commonwealth are trying to get revenge on the UK for years of oppression - so eat it up imperialist monster!! ha ha we'll crush you with our tricky dvd ways!

Disease 08-30-2007 06:13 AM

It does suck the way they do it here, also they are so damn expensive, it's almost cheaper to buy a movie than rent one???

Zero 08-30-2007 06:51 AM

i lived in london for about a year a while back and when i got home was frustrated at how many of my dvds were region coded and i couldn't watch them. now i have a multi-region player so its all good.

Disease 08-30-2007 07:06 AM

I had to change the region on my laptop, You can only do it 4 times for some reason, i don't know what happens after that, but the ones I brought over from Australia still play on it aswell, so maybe each time I change it, it actually gains that region, this is what I hope.

But I am buying more dvds here in a couple of months than I did all last year, it going to be expensive to get them all home...

ferretchucker 08-30-2007 12:56 PM

they could do it a bit easier. we have a muti-region dvd player (and VHS). Oh well, i'll just have to try and find it on youtube

XtRaVa 08-30-2007 01:31 PM

I went online and managed to find the code to type into my DVD remote to 'hack' it to region free so I can watch American and Asian DVD's etc. :)

Disease 08-30-2007 01:40 PM

Don't they have multi zone players in the UK?

XtRaVa 08-30-2007 02:08 PM

Yeah sure, but my DVD player was bought a few years back and its cheap as shit. It was like £15 from a food store - real economy value type stuff...But hey it works just fine. :)

Disease 08-30-2007 02:28 PM

And that's the one you managed to hack, that's pretty cool.

XtRaVa 08-30-2007 02:44 PM

Yeah, I think because its such a crap model they didnt bother with putting in proper protection for that sort of thing. It only took a few minutes of searching online to find the code to type into the remote to get into the technician section (which is supposed to be used by the manufacturer only I guess) and then another code to access and disable the set region mode to region free.

It's kind of stupid, they purposely change that to whichever number the DVD player is going to be shipped to and sold in. Any DVD player which isnt already region free technically can be, by turning the region function off - but they dont...just to try and make you by the next model up. Bastards.

That would have been a much more entertainging ending.

ferretchucker 09-04-2007 04:01 AM
