Why is the music forum always a fight? Why does someone ALWAYS have something to say about someone's likes and dislikes in their music? Why does every band out there eventualy get bashed on this forum?

it seems to me that everyone just bitches to bitch, and if you dont bitch they bitch at you, and if you bitch too much they still bitch at you. its retarded but its nonthing you can change so minus well just live with it, thats what i do.

i guess that would be me among others... cant speak for the rest of them but im picky in my music, taste, i dont just listen to anything, isnt honesty the best way though? say what you feel?

Yeah, but you get a little touchy with it Moon. I think that's what she meant. Alot of the people that post in this forum REFUSE to accept that other people have an opinion about metal bands.

I agree that some music sucks (well, maybe more then just some), but I don't think people should get bashed on or anything just because they don't like the same music as another person. Everyone is different.....if everyone thought and acted alike..........well, I'd probably shout myself I'd be so bored. I guess part of the fun in difference of opinions might be arguing about it, though. I don't know... arguing your opinion is cool, but I think only as long as its not taken to the piont were people are personally insulting other people. Which usually is not the case. Some people just take things to seriously. Just my thoughts on the matter.

i know waht wicked lady means. at times i am afraid to say waht i like cuz i will most likely get bashed even if i don't say anything about not likeing the other persons music choices. i was already got bashed in PM from a member i shall not name cuz i didn't like his band he liked. i like lots of types of music i am not to picky w/ what i like. but i shouldn't b bashed for what i do like if some one disagrees w/ it.

utter your voice and let it be heard well, dont let anybodys opinions affect yours or get you down.

its different when your passionate about something. Its different when you see a million dime-a-dozen bands making uber amounts of money off mtv and you KNOW for a fucking FACT you have more talent than they do, but things like beaucracy and knowing the right people get in the way.

Half the bands youve heard of, youve heard of because they have the right contacts, not because they were any better or more talented than the next guy.

Thats why i personally get so pissed off at some of the bands making it these days. Recycling the same old nu-metal bullshit and feeding it to the mtv generation, it fucking sickens me.

Then i, and alot of other talented musicians, work daily bullshit jobs because we go against the grain and try and do something different, then are shunned for doing so.

I dont post in the thread that is titled a band I dislike.. I think I posted one time in AFI thread about disliking them.. But I was teasing with Avenger.. I have noticed a lot of people on here down death metal and that is the type of music I listen to and comments have been made saying it is easy and pointless and all of it sounds the same.. which is very far from being the truth.. I myself have been in a few death metal bands (vocalist) and this music is not all that easy, ya know..and to everyone who is musicians you are not the only people who listen to music and you may look at it in a different eye BUT it doesnt mean you are the professor... get what I am saying...

kool pic i love good charlotte! and i love AFI and not afraid to say it. but no matter what i will always be a CYNDI LAUPER fan. i grew up on her music and she has influenced me alot w/ wanting to sing. and she was so different from everyone else and to me is still great to listen to :D

plus i love music from broadway shows like les miserable and wicked.

LOL hell ya i like cyndi lauper. I like alot of 80's music. I like "some" rap and country even. I like ALOT of things, but it usually HAS to be original. Which is my problem with the pop punk bullshit of today. I cant stand shit like that so obviously made soley to sell records to a target audience.

i like alot of the 80's music granted i may have just been a little kid yet. but i love the bangles, the go-gos, duran duran and even the flock of seagulls. as u said i like ALOT of things to. i know wicked lady i also like cyndi lauper buts its cuz i grew up w/ her music but i still like GC. as i ahve said b4 i listen to ALL TYPES OF MUSIC

Didn't they redo Soft Cell's "Tainted Love"? Mom loves that song!She listens to that so much EVEN I know every word!

I know Manson did a cover of it, im not sure about depeche mode though. That song IS covered alot though so they probably did.
