Has anyone seen this movie Pelts? My mother said she watched it recently and only watched part of it cause it was so gory and wierd. She loves horror movies as do I but this one she said was bad.

So what say HDC? Who has seen it and what'd ya think, is it worth a watch or is my Mom being stupid;) ?

Argento is an overhyped italian director who's made a lot of bad b-movies..

I'm a big Argento fan (he directed Tenebre. Suspiria, Opera, Deep Red....;) ) but have yet to see either of his Master of Horror episodes. So I haven't seen it yet, but it is on the Netflix list and should be here soon. :)

I can imagine...

Pelts is far from great, but has a few really fun/gross images that make the experience worthwhile and as far as MoH episodes go, you could do much worse. I find Meatloaf rather distracting in, well everything he's ever done...I always expect him to bust out in some bombastic, bloated, lame rock opera bullshit, but even his presence didn't ruin this one for me.

I haven't watched this movie. Do you have a poster or pic of this movie? Can you post it here.

You guys are going to pound on me for saying this, but I liked Pelts and I thought Meatloaf carried it to a much higher level than it would have reached otherwise. I liked the premise, and I LOVED the ending scene. That is hardcore, squirm in your seat good watching (you know the part I mean). And then how he carries it around as he chases he in the apartment and down the hall... wild stuff.

But it is an Argento film, so it does have flaws...but such is the nature of the beast...

I'm definately an Argento Fan. Pelts isn't his best work by any means, but definately worth a watch. For an argento classic, try DEMONS, or DEMONS 2.

Neither of those films were directed by Argento, they were both directed by Lamberto Bava and produced by Argento.
