Saw 4

who's a fan and looking forward/not to it?

it's becoming a bit pointless talking about it on the house of jigsaw forum because many of the users are knobs and only post in the off topic section these days.

it has been confirmed that Darren Lynn Bousman (saw 2, saw 3) will return to direct it. Leigh n James wont be writing this time. instead they are kind of surpervising the script. so if the writers put in anything that leigh n james don't like, the have to change it.

Darren says he's really exited about it :)

when it was announced that it would be made i wasn't pleased but now that i know that much i'm exited about it too.

what do you guys think?

AmericanManiac 04-09-2007 03:43 AM

I bought Saw III when it came out and I put off watching it. I kept thinking when I watched it, it was going to ruin the first two. So I decided to finally watch it the other night, and I was very pleased with it. It was a well done story, and I can't wait to see how the fourth one takes off. As long as they keep the story, and really sick killing methods, and twists it should be another great film! I can't wait, most people here will say they are getting tired of it, so get ready for people hating on it.

the_real_linda 04-09-2007 07:16 AM

looking forward but im a total fangirl about saw...tho im very apprehensive about it

chaibill 04-09-2007 10:08 AM

yup i will watch it i just hope they got all the music video scenes out of there system. Even in the first one, first time i watched it with the head trap scene the actor is jumping around yanking on the thing and there is this hardcore song playing i think i rolled my eyes like i haven't seen this in so many movies. then i check a review on IGN.com and they write the same thing like a NIN video I guess i got that one right on
like in UNDERWORLD when Seedman is changing in to the werewolf in the back seat they got some crazy song going and the dudes in the car turn it up it is just so typical you know what i mean

Shady 04-09-2007 10:38 AM

I think they should end it at 3. It is fantastic trilogy and all three of the Saw movies are superb which is hard to do. Unless they have a brilliant idea for IV I think its horrible idea. Now that Jigsaw and Amanda are out of the picture I don't see what they can do with this. Tobin Bell signed onto Saw 4 but I think he will just be used for flashbacks. I'll admit I'm looking forward to seeing this movie and seeing how they are going to pull it off but I think they should have ended while they were on top.

Firemedic 04-09-2007 03:11 PM

The first two were good, but three was really stretching it. It was ok abut it nearly sank in the water. Number 4, I hate to say is going to be the one that ruins the franchise

Despare 04-09-2007 04:01 PM

Four pretty much started right at the end of three and I think they really planned the fourth going into the third. It seems well laid out and should be good, if not, I just won't buy it.

smo_go1 04-10-2007 01:50 AM

yeah, don't say that it's going to ruin the series because we don't know that dude. it might but we don't know anything about that film so we can't judge anything about it yet. but as i said before darren is exited about it so i reckon any saw fan should be

adz_gamble 04-10-2007 11:59 AM

Can't wait!

As long as the storyline isn't ridiculously stupid i won't care!!

The Saw movies are about two things: Gore and amazing twists!!

As long as theres lots of blod, guts and brains and a few good twists i'll be happy! :D

i'm alctually hoping that it'll be more of an informational movie than a gore film. surem, i still want gore but i don't want as much as there is in the other films. we need to know more important things. like why was obi in the park while jonh and that girl were there. (maybe) what happened to gr.gordon. stuff like that

fromfirst2last 04-10-2007 05:25 PM

I'm really looking forward to Saw 4. I'm hoping for more story than gore. But of course gore is needed. If saw 4 is anything like the first 3 we won't be disappointed :)

there's a short flashback and it's set before all the other events in saw. it shows john and some woman (most likely the lover he talks about in the saw comic Rebirth) and obi walks past. it's kinda hard to tell if it's obi because his face is blurry but if you wait til after the credits then it lists his name ;)

smo_go1 04-11-2007 03:57 AM

Woohooo!

it's been confirmed that saw 4 will be centered around Rigg (the big, black cop guy).
he's so awesome :) i can't wait for it now because Rigg is someone we don't know much about so they could go anywhere with it?

chaibill 04-11-2007 06:49 AM

yeah i think that was his wife
there is a saw comic ? ....i want it ....called rebirth

they're most likely not going to tell us what happened to him. only because it leaves you thinking and it lets you decide for yourself.

Cryptkeeper 04-13-2007 12:09 PM

I am hoping for a great saw 4 also, but the first one will always be my favorite. I'm one who does not care for gore as long as they can scare me. That is usually by twists and suprises, not by all the flashy gore scenes. I do love the genius traps they come up with though, just as long as they stick to that.

Also I had just finished watching saw 3. I had put it off until now. There were parts I was bored with and fast fowarded through, but it was pretty good. I have checked out other forums to see what other people think about the ending of 3. Most people think jigsaw died, but I'm not convinced. Because the way it ended, did anyone notice the way he was bleeding from his neck? It did not seem right. Know I know that there is no way jigsaw could have known that the guy would pick up the saw and cut his throat, but still, we never did see him actually dead. I guess you could say he was since the girls head blew up which would not have if he stayed alive. So I don't know for sure, but he could have pushed a button to make her die, or he could possilbly be brought back to life by maybe a 3rd person we don't know about. After all, that mans little girl was being held in a locked room somewhere, so I don't believe it's the end.

devil_ 04-15-2007 12:02 PM

chaibill 04-15-2007 12:32 PM

smo_go1 04-16-2007 12:36 AM

wtf happed to my thread? why did someone post in it about drac 2000?

to answer that devil person...saw 4 comes out on halloween or very close to it

slayer666 04-16-2007 02:50 AM

I really liked the first two in the series and will probably buy them now that 2-disc DVD versions are out, but I thought the third was considerably weaker. After that, I'm not especially eager to see any more of them. They should have stopped after the trilogy.

phillyjc 04-16-2007 07:06 AM

you know something is going to be good when they say it's directed by the producer of the first. Hehe

stenchofdeath 04-18-2007 08:41 AM

I am looking forward to seeing Saw 4, even though i have just seen Saw 3. I would watch 4 just to see what teeth grinding torture methods they come up with next. I think that they could have stopped the story at 3 with the demise of Jigsaw and Amanda. Lets hope that we don't end up with Saw 10, like the crap that Halloween has become.

well uhh...it's not gonna be directed by the producer of the first. it's being directed by darren(director of saw 2 and 3)

Kane_Hodder 04-22-2007 02:17 AM

If it's a fresh start with a new set of characters, I don't see why this won't work. If they try to re-hash from 2 & 3 and bring Jigsaw or Amanda back, Saw 4 will hit rock bottom. The problem doesn't lie in the film, the problem is the execution of it.

pstamer 04-22-2007 03:39 PM

I will happily check it out when it's out. I love them all so far. I'm just puzzled as to how they could make another sequel due to the main characters dying.

Saw IV Plot revealed:
Reference:http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_7985.html

Sometimes I really am blind as a bat. Earlier we shared the latest set photos for Saw 4 and somehow I overlooked the really blatant plot that has been revealed at FearNet. Here it be: J igsaw still haunts the living in Saw IV, forcing them to appreciate life, or face death.

As a continuation of Saw III, Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. After finding another tape of Jigsaw, Jeff realizes there may be a newly added piece of the puzzle that he must decipher before its too late. Whatcha think? Does it have legs? Will you watch it? Sound off!

chaibill 04-25-2007 05:19 AM

well i gues he could revive jigsaw some how defribulators? blood transfusion but that would take too long

wellthey killed jack bauer in 24 a few times but i think once the used electic to bring him back and people eccept it. but the way some horror movies go i think the just think the audience is stupid so they could get away with anything in their minds

EDIT oh when you wrote they i thought ment jeff and jigsaw not jeff and his daughter ...so jigsaws dead long live jeff

I kinda thought thats the way it would go, Jigsaw working from beyond the grave. I think thats a good way to go if they do it right. I am excited about Saw 4 I loved the previous 3 so definatly worth going to see IMO.

walesboy 05-01-2007 05:59 AM

bringing jigsaw back as a ghost ! well if thats the plot i can safely say i'll never watch it get real ! i herd its flashbacks in the fourth film an to let you all no amanda is not dead yet does no1 wonder who set all the traps for the third film amanda coz he was too weak so who set the traps for the forth film in the rest of the wherehouse (AMANDA) BUT SHE DEF DIES IN THIS 1

Ok I thought that the plot for Saw 4 was that everything was already set up before the end of Saw 3. Therefore everything was already set up before Jigsaw and Amanda died. Well thats what I got from it.

"Haunts" was an expression to show he still has power over them. He isn't a bloody ghost! It's a video tape of him. I like the way in the saw films, they don't make an effort to make the good guy win.

Ah he was confused by "haunts" lol

Thinking about it though who is the "good guy" in the Saw films are they not just more victim's? The reason Saw chooses them is because they are not good, they have done something in their life in which they shouldn't.

"he isn't a bloody ghost!" nicely put. hehe
