I just watched the movie . All I have to say is.... Hot chicks and barely any HORROR. Very predictable. :rolleyes:
5/10 stars for me.....Hostel was way better. ;)

In compare to Hostel, it's much better...cause Hostel totally sucks!! Though the story may be predictable but still it's quite thrilling & well made.

I'd be interested in some more opinions/reviews on this one. I'm seeing the unrated DVD advertised constantly. I thought Hostel was terrible, so if this is somehow worse, I'm staying away from it.

This flick wasn't as great as "Wolf Creek" or "Hostel", but was quite entertaining. Don't trust the IMDb rating, it is mainly the work of brazilians who feel themselves insulted because of how Brazil is portrayed in this movie.

I think this film looks quite interesting. The general plot does seem a bit like Hostel (mind I didnt acctually hate that film) but I like the organ black market idea lol. There was a comment that there was no horror, was there any gore?

Very lite gore. :( It's still worth checking out.

This movie was weak as hell. Every single beat has been done to death in better horror movies.

Granted, I actually liked Hostel and really enjoyed Wolf Creek.

Maybe I'll give it a try. I thought Hostel was terrible, so I hadn't planned on seeing this one.

i thought this one sucked
1 no original charactors
2 the stupid girl says " oh i forgot my bikini top you guys mind if i go topless" that was a weak scene piss poor acting which stragely gets a little better near the end
3 there is a scene when their guide shows them an area in the jungle where they swim. And i am just thinking oh they will be returning here later in the film ----- just shitty predictable writting
4 the dude on the bus was such an ass he could of gotten killed right there by the driver also sounded like he was imitating Vince Vahn (spelling?)
the only thing good was the extra feeature wich shows some of the gore and how it was done

but i liked wolf creek and i liked hostel too

I think "Turistas" is perfect for those people who didn't like "Hostel" becouse of it's gratuitous NUDITY and hated CHARACTERS!



I thought "Turistas" was just okay.....but it's definitely audience FRIENDLY compared to "Hostel.":)

i thoght touristas just kept saying the audience is stupid there were no surprises

It was just your average Hostel/Wolf Creek type film. However both WC and Hostel are better. But it was ok, I didnt mind it. Maybe 6/10.

Neither Turistas or Hostel really did it for me,not bad movies but not good either imo.I enjoyed Wolf Creek,it was too slow to begin with but I thought the later stages were pretty good.

I thought Wolf Creek was pretty good, very very slow though.

I've been interested in Turistas/Paradise Lost for a while now but after reading so many negative reviews I'll have to give it a miss.

This was what one of my threads was about ......I always knew it to be Paradise Lost.

I,ve still not finished watching it.

honestly didn't think too much of hostel granted there were tits galore, but that's about all the film had going for it

wolf creek was awesome, but consider it more or less in the same league of touristas, which i think was a great movie by the way

anyone else impressed with the revival of the slasher flick format; love it but allows room for improvement (vacancy)

Great to see someone starting a thread on this movie. When i first read about it in a magazine, i immediately thought, this sounds similar to Hostel. I've only seen about 20 minutes of this. I guess the appeal of the movie is based on how we've all heard stories of tourists going missing and ending up victims, organs on the black market etc. The appeal with Hostel for me is the "what if there really are places out there like that". If you look closely at the plot then it provokes thinking of the possibility, that this could happen and it makes the whole plot believeable and therefore good.
