I already told you them all, but my faveorite is eggs, done in all ways known to man.

crabapple 03-20-2007 11:21 PM

Myself, a breakfast burrito with a really hot salsa--the kind of salsa, when you think about it, your salivary glands activate. Ideally the burrito would be steaming hot--hot!! And served on a bitter cold morning, just like this morning!  ;)

Geddy 03-21-2007 12:50 AM

Eggs,toast,and bacon.

bloody_ribcut 03-21-2007 03:53 AM

once again, ham and cheese hot pockets with a glass of kool-aid.

Phalanx 03-21-2007 04:14 AM

I make what I believe to be one of the BEST eggs florentine out there...slightly gratine'd, very nice...

Eggs in general, I prefer er...what I'd call tossed. Kinda scrambled, kinda not. I'll only cook them for about 10 seconds.

I like tomatoes cut thick, fried in olive oil on a very hot pan...may add a little sugar and salt, keep them on just long enough to slightly caramelise and warm through (they have to retain firmness), I'll add black pepper, and I very much like rosemary with them.

Vegemite on heavily buttered toast. If you don't like it, you've most likely used way too much.

Grilled mushrooms are a great side.

In terms of cereal, I like one we have called 'sultana bran', coco-pops occasionally, and nutra-grain.

Tea...with breakfast. Strong tea, both black + green&jasmine - slightly white with 2 sugars. HOT.

Smoked salmon, creme cheese, capers, lemon juice, and dill on freshly toasted bread, rolls, or crackers, like supreme shit there.

I quite like cinnamon raisin toast.

Oh right, and sometimes we'll do something of a fry-up, usually containing eggs, bacon, spinach, onion, thyme, rosemary, tomato...with the additional ingredient here'n there.

Cheese and tomato on toast will always do me though.

Orange juice, REAL orange juice...what they call "orange drink" makes me wanna hurt people. The real stuff though, great.

Left over curry, and there is going to be some for me in the morning....

newb 03-21-2007 04:16 AM

Bacon
Pancakes
Blueberry muffins
Sausage
French Toast
Cinnamon Toast Crunch

crabapple 03-21-2007 07:24 AM

Everytime Phalanx posts, I read this stuff and go uhhhhhh...gimme! Especially the part about the tomatoes fried in olive oil. Oh man, does that sound GOOD?

Right now, though, this morning, I am making do with a little sausage sandwich, Polish, and some nice black coffee, instant, but it's really okay tasting.

Mictlantechutli 03-21-2007 07:30 AM

Chilequiles!

For those of you who don't know it's sliced and fried tortillas with eggs, chile and a ranchero sauce (like enchilada sauce)

Funny thing is, no two places make it the same and every Latino will swear that his/her mom makes the best.

crabapple 03-21-2007 07:33 AM

Another mouth-watering post!

stubbornforgey 03-21-2007 09:37 AM

black coffee and black toast

Dante'sInferno 03-21-2007 02:53 PM

Hmmm...my favorite breakfast food is chocolate chip pancakes with, bacon and sausage.

AsylumSeeker 03-23-2007 05:47 PM

Since I have been advised that this, along with doppelganger logins, is what it's all about:

Ham and Cheese omelet, lots of catsup
Sourdough Toast
Bacon

crabapple 03-24-2007 06:51 PM

:D

It looks like this is a PERFECT time to mention croissant breakfast sandwiches and hot black coffee! Bet that sounds real good to some of you right now, doesn't it? ;)

Late at night? It doesn't matter. Breakfast can be enjoyed any time!

It would be breakfast all the time

crabapple 03-24-2007 07:24 PM

Oh sweet god-amighty, it's a breakfast miracle!!

Toasted English muffins for all! (flinging muffins left and right)

Marley's Ghost 03-24-2007 07:30 PM

The Flapjacks look mighty good
with butter melting on the top
and a side of bacon and some eggs
my diet you can stop

crabapple 03-24-2007 07:42 PM

Well...ha ha ha! Little pig cakes! Sounds like the sort of thing that belongs in the breakfast thread, by golly. I swear I've never seen one, though...is there a restaurant that makes these, I wonder, or can I order some in the mail? Hmmmm

I love Life. Life cereal. So good. With milk or dry it's just so good. Especially cinnamon Life. I love my life.

Also I really like Honey Combs cereal and Oatmeal.. the instant variety but with less water than it calls for so it's sticky and sugary.

I eat grapefruit when I have the time but it's a tricky food to eat. Grapefruit is an antisceptic you know?

Lastly, I hate orange juice. It's horrid.

i love honey combs, those and fruity/choclate pebble's.

i also love grapefruits, i peel off the hard skin, then i peel off the individual slices skin, the straight pulps taste great.

crabapple 03-25-2007 04:38 PM

Does anyone remember in, um, the 70's, and it was either Alpha-Bits or Honeycomb cereal, they had glow in the dark monster posters folded up in the box?

Am I old?

They were awesome. Not quite Basil Gogos material, but I had a lot of them. I think they came in QUISP too.:D

I just cut the grapefruit in half and put some sugar on it.. eat it with a spoon. I have no time in the morning to eat though so I'm subjected to the bruised apples of the braekfast club.

Crabapple: Yes, you're old. Well older than me but thats not hard.

If we're talking about the same ones, a couple of them were actually Basil Gogos Famous Monsters cover paintings...the Creature from the Black Lagoon was one...I would love to get one of those glow posters.

crabapple 03-25-2007 05:19 PM

Here's one for you good folks...the Creature! Lit room, dark room.
