i think i'm right in saying that the exorcist was brilliant then the sequel was shite then the third installment was brilliant. what about an american werewolf in paris?

Um.....Alky.....

It's "Curse of the Cat People", not "Return"

And I completly agree, its not that great.

Another one would be Dracula's Daughter...it was decent enough, but not even in the same league as the original.

_____V_____ 03-06-2007 09:01 PM

The F13 series after part VI...took the series downhill.

NOES V...sucked. Period.

SAW II, Final Destination III, From Dusk Till Dawn 3, Alien 3 & 4, etc.

More generally, Batman & Robin, Superman Returns, X Men III, Darkman II & III, Return of the Jedi, Attack of the Clones etc...

bwind22 03-06-2007 10:33 PM

Good entries on this thread... Most of the ones that came to my mind have already been said....

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Battle Royale 2
Matrix Reloaded
Jeepers Creepers 2
All the Batman sequels (excluding Batman Begins, which I wouldn't neccesarily call a sequel. It seems like the start of a new franchise.)

It was pretty cool. I prefer the first Michael Keaton Batman movie though. Keaton was perfect casting in my opinion & Jack Nicholson as The Joker would have to be one of my favorite film villains ever. I also enjoyed the campiness of the old school Adam West Batman movie. Soooooo corny.

That one gets alot of shit, but I thought it was pretty decent. Not quite on par with the first one, which is one of my favourites, but still a very entertaining horror flick. Ray Wise is awesome, and I loved the ending.

The Mothman 03-07-2007 06:37 AM

why all the hate for TCM2?

Dennis Hopper wielding duel chainsaws, bill mosely as choptop, gore effects by tom savini, and comic book style madness...whats wrong with that?

Roderick Usher 03-07-2007 08:22 AM

Conan the Destroyer...awful

Duh. Haha, my bad.

But yeah. It could have been alright as a stand alone film, but they had to make it a sequel to Cat People.

MatrixReloaded was alright for the action but I hated Revolutions.
Ginger Snaps sequels were okay but not close to as good as the original.

Alien 3 wasn't that bad (not as bad Alien Ressurection). I mean, it can't compare to the first two which are masterpieces, but I thought it was a nice ending to the original trilogy.

ferretchucker 03-12-2007 10:26 AM

Halloween 6 and 8. And Seed of chucky. Jaws 2 was good and so was halloween 4, 5 and 7

the_real_linda 03-12-2007 10:46 AM

Halloween 3.........

ferretchucker 03-12-2007 12:33 PM

Lol, they mention mrs. blankenship from halloween 6 in that.

TheGoblinQueen 03-14-2007 12:11 PM

Hellraiser 1 to 3 were not bad but anything after that sucked.

Ginger Snaps 2 was okay but I prefered the first one.. Ginger Snaps Back is more of a prequel but it sucked.

I love the 3rd one! It's definently the most entertaining! Great acting, same good plot, and an amazing finale!

However, the second one was the only one that was somewhat scary. The suspense in that was flawlessly done. In the car scene! errrgh

ferretchucker 03-16-2007 08:03 AM

never seen any of the scream films all the way through and have never seen the third one. I thought there were too many survivors in the first one,

for me it's other way around, i have see Scream 8x , Scream 3 4x
but with Scream 2 20x
Fun to watch, i think scream 2 is the best out of 3

crabapple 03-16-2007 11:55 AM

Chinese Ghost Story 2.

The first CGS is a masterpiece, the second film is half-interesting but just never comes together with a proper emotional center. Tries to introduce big effects sequences and just ends up looking weak.

Your an idiot!

How would you know if there was too many survivors in the first one if you never watched it all the way through?

Disease 03-16-2007 05:50 PM

My worst sequal, it's to hard to just pick one. But one that did piss me off, actually both pts 2 and 3 did were the From Dusk till Dawn ones, what a let down they were!
