What will you do today?
It's a stinking horrible day
The whole world outside is grey, it's pissing it down and I'm stuck in an office all day doing pointless work. If I go out to get a sandwich at dinnertime it'll get soggy, and I'll get soggy. Posting on this forum will probably be the most productive thing I do today, but in the job I'm in, that wouldn't be anything new. Actually, that's not strictly true. Under the guise of looking busy at work, I can have another go at the embryonic script I've started, or I could continue studying for a change of job. Either way, it seems a bit naughty but what can you do? |
Bugger all right now...browsing the net and listening to mp3s, it's the first of a few days off work. Later I'll go shopping for food then head off up north to home... for another 3 days of house decorating.... oh joy :( :D
|
School for most of the day, an hour or two at the gym afterward, maybe homework and most definatly a movie later tonight.
|
My "today" is over.
Just eating and watching that new episode of heroes when it dl's. So, my tommorow - I dunno...some stuff. Gonna hit up this great new candystore I found, that imports all kindsa stuff from allover (my US candy craving = dealt with), meet up with a friend, got 2 job interviews (gaming consultant, and chef shop), get some videos, get stiznoned, do some cooking (I'm thinking about a while big tray of sechuan chicken wings with star anise, and MANY chopped chives), maybe a bike ride. Do some mean stuff to my friend. |
i'll be "my space" pimping
|
I just got done working the overnight shift, so I'll probably fire up a bowl of the greens, play some video games for an hour or two, then watch a movie & go to sleep. When I wake up, I'll hang with the wife for a little while before eventually heading back in to work for the night.

So nice to have a bowl of greens - I haven't been able to get a hold of any for MONTHS! |
yall better not be talking about weed.

Hahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahah ahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha ha. Now I'm scared. Yeah, I was talking about smoking some marijuana, but I doubt the cops are gonna waste their time trying to come find me because they read on a forum that I was planning on smoking a bowl and going to sleep. I'm sure the money they'd make off the ticket they gave me would really be worth all their time & energy, especially when there's REAL crimes taking place. I live in a city dude, not some small town in the middle of nowhere with a total of 2 fat cops that sit on their ass all day looking for someone they can bust. |

Just got out of work, bout to shower then who knows.

Do you own your own business? |
I will most likely sit and write and pop in and off of the internet for the majority of the day.
|
I'm gunna get punk-fuckin drunk.

Thats cool.:) Do you think a comic book/ game type store would go over well in your area? |

Yes, but will dave get the infamous "stink eye"?:D |
I'm gonna try to go and do something productive. Talk to you guys later, maybe.

well plan 1 failed miserably so i have jumped into a
debating chamber with some fellow newzelanders in a NZ forum discussing a new legislation about to become law here .. probably by the end of the year. A childless mp is pushing for a law banning the smacking of children completely and by the look of things..she may have the numbers to have it passed through. I am on the con team.. Has gone quiet for a minute cos we are all grabbing something to eat |
Been working, since 6 A.M this morning(done now)really, really boring job(Team Leader in a Kitchen manufacturing company),same thing tomorrow, same the day after, same the day after that:mad: maybe i will get drunk at the weekend:)

I don't smack my children, i used to spank but it did no good.Time outs never worked either. Now I make them do push-ups for punishment.I'm sure thats considered child abuse too though. |

I know exactly what you mean about boring job. I'm trying for a complete change of direction myself - from office worker to electrician by the end of the year, hopefully. Too much time spent pushing pens.... :( |

My sons grandfather slapped him upside his head in Wal-Mart, nothing harsh just a little "act right" slap to the noggin.A fucking cop was waiting for him at the door. Some old bitch called the fucking cops. What the hell was he supposed to do, let my son run around like a maniac disturbing everyone?Luckily he knew the cop and nothing was done. |
Today....I will wake up about 11am....then work for about an hour (2 at most).....then go buy a 12 pack of beer, and try my best to finish it by dinner time. Watch American Idol. Then go get a second 12 pack....do it all again tomorrow.

I guess you misunderstood, I believe "spare the rod, spoil the child" but I've found push-ups to be a more effective punishment.Plus its better for them than a bruise.I do not think it is wrong to spank or slap as long as it is not excessive. |

How can anybody learn responsibility when they don't have any consequences? |
Quote:
Excellent point. |
Quote:
That doesn't even work.I've taken thier x-box, cable, and toys away with no avail.Push-ups are the way to go! |

Not much, they are well behaved for the most part.My 6 yr old sometimes forgets he is not the man of the house and gets a little lippy. My 9 yr old is just an airhead. |
My Daughter who is two on sunday doesn't listen to me no matter what i say or do,so i've decided she's in charge and i am but her minion:p
