Movie Sountracks

What are your favorite movie soundtracks as far as the ones with songs from bands outside of the orchestra.

My personal favorites are the two Resident Evil soundtracks.

Especially the Kraken theme.

Scape from New York

Twin Peaks (TV)

Most part of Ennio Morricone work

Silent Hill (game) with special mention to SH 2 and 4 (god saves Akira Yamaoka)

Metal Gear Solid sons of liberty and Snake eater.

Jaws, The Beyond, City of the living dead, The good, the bad & the ugly has great soundtracks, I love them all. The Departed also had a great song in it, Iīm shipping up to Boston.

Pulp Fiction also has a great soundtrack.

I havenīt heard the whole score for Django but love the main theme aswell.

The soundtrack for Freddy vs. Jason is pretty good.

Judgement Night soundtrack was awsome for its day.

Pulp Fiction.

Reservoir Dogs.

Remember the Titans.

Goodfellas.

Any Argento flick that Goblin was involved with, most notably Suspiria and Profondo Rosso.

Someone, I think newb, mentioned Forrest Gump in another thread, and I wholeheartedly agree.

And yeah, The Departed had a nice mix. Stones. Allman Brothers. Dropkick Murphys. And a pretty good cover of "Comfortably Numb", my favorite Floyd song, by The Band.

While the songs themselves aren't bad, their use in the film makes me want to puke. Over-literal crap.

Jenny goes to San Francisco to "Are you Going to San Francisco"
Forest returns home to Alabam to "Sweet Home Alabama"
He runs and runs and runs to "Running on Empty" and "It Keeps You Running"
etc.

fucking lame-ass predictable needle drops that serve as a substitute for content. HATE the soundtrack to that film.

Never said anything about their use in the film. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I hate Forrest Gump, always have, always will.

But if you get the CD soundtrack, it's a nice compilation to have.

Ah, no shit, O Brother?! I thought my mom and I were the only ones who liked this soundtrack! Really good folk and bluesy stuff in there.

Oh yeah, I really like it. Got it for my dad a couple of years ago, we both love it. Like you said, really good stuff on this one.

When I was younger, I was a big fan of the soundtrack for Clockstoppers. Today I cant stand most of the music on it, but it really had a big influence on my tastes.

slayer666 02-24-2007 09:33 AM

Even though I didn't care for the film, the soundtrack album for Spawn was pretty good.
