Wonderful rain!

Well! After something like two weeks of being teased by the weather forecast, seeing all these predictions of rain, sprinkles, showers...after days and days of expecting rain and seeing NONE...

It's raining here! It took effing long enough, I'll tell you. It's been coming down continuously for most of the night. Not torrential...some of it is light and some moderate to heavy, that's fine with me.

Rain makes me happy!

It rained a lot here last night, washed away all the snow.... took me 3 1/2 hours to get 4 miles on friday, got to the bus stop at 16:25 and got home at 20:00  why this country has to grind to a halt at the first sign of snow is beyond me, the rest of the world copes with it OK, but not england, oooh no, everything comes to a dead stop, snow ploughs and gritters don't come out till it's all gone.... bastards

I'm with you on that, hate the wind, don't mind the rain, and i love the snow too, it's the total chaos it brings with it that pisses me off,

and if you could have heard the stupid prats on the bus  moaning about getting home late cos they were wanting to go out.... fucking idiots, we were lucky to get the bus we did, they were pulling them all off and shutting them down as they came in to the station

I'm glad to hear people are mostly dealing with the weather okay...here in Los Angeles we had very cold temperatures, very cold for this area, and that was damn difficult for a lot of people. I found it almost impossible to do anything but curl up underneath blankets and shiver. The rain seems to have all come down now for the most part, I think of it as my little reward for the recent cold spell.

you won't think of it as a reward if the temp drops and all that water freezes, roads and paths will be like sheet glass....

Oh yes, that's very true...I like the rain just the way it is....liquid, that is. Freezing temperatures are not necessary, in fact they are discouraged.

I live in the northeast....normally we would be buried in snow by now. So far nothing....although it has been pretty cold in the last two weeks....and there is a forcast of snow for Valentines Day....which happens to be my 26th wedding anniversary.
Is there some kind of meaning behind that......i don't know.....i'm fucking rambling.

Congrats to all you married maniacs out there! If it's raining, well, you'd better stay in and get cozy!

The rain here, it was on and off yesterday. Today we have more clouds and probably a little rain later, I'm guessing.

Shadow 02-12-2007 12:48 PM
