American Idol rejects.... Is there any other reason to watch that show? I dont think so. PT BArnum would be snatching these people up left and right if he were still alive.

I've only caught 2 episodes, but my favorite reject/retard was the chubby chick that sang the Cowardly Lion song from the Wizard of Oz and even rolled her 'R'. Man, she was unbelievably terrible.

The commercials make me cringe. I get way too embarassed for them - and the ones who make it through seem like they couldn't hold a note without riffing if their lives depended on it.

Simon is the main draw for me. I am sickly fascinated by blunt, direct peoople who say exactly what they are thinking. The line between tact and pandering is very thin, so some people just stay on the opposite end of the spectrum and dont worry about people's feelings at all. That is Simon. He honestly believes that most of what he is doing is a favor to delusional people. Of course, he clearly takes pleasure in twisting the knife quite a bit.

My wife is similar. She isnt thoughtless, but if she feels she has been wronged, watch out.

I really love it when they cry because you know their whole make-believe world has just been crushed in front of millions of people. What I wouldn't give to crush people's dreams on that show.

I have to admit that I have been known to watch the early auditions due to the prue comedy value. However get this I seen one final where they got the "best" worst auditioners all together to do a preformance. Just think how bad they where individually then you put them all together tv genius right there lol. Why oh why after being humiliated once would you go back and do it again??????

My mate reckons that there has been alot of retard performers on the show lately cos they are hoping they will get a william hung moment..

I rarely watch it and when I do it's for Simon's remarks and subtle facial expressions. He just cracks me up.

Although the one guy I thought was so sweet was that old guy, Sherman I think was his name, that sang "You Belong to Me" in honor of his lady that died a few days prior to that. I actually thought he had a really nice voice.
