Look, i know a lot of people don't like me in here and i was just thinking. Rather than bottle it all up, i'd much rather you all tell me why and since when. But don't bring other people's names into this, i dont want us all to start arguing. This is only a bash ME thread.

I think most people just wonder why you're here. The majority of your posts seem to be in the Fuck You thread or the (now defunct) picture thread. When you do post in threads about movies, you normally don't actually post about movies.

no, but i know that some people do think of me in a bad way and i just like to know for two reasons.

1. So maybe I can change so people i have never met think i'm cool.
2. So i just know who to tread carefully on.

P.S - I dont comment on movies much because the last time i started, people got very annoyed at how involved I was with the hallowen movies.

If a person doesn´t like you it should be HIS problem, not yours.

And if nobody likes the person you are in here, it´s possibly because you´ve found a forum to post in that doesn´t quite fit your personality/interests.

Sounds to me like you´ve made this thread for all the wrong reasons.

But that´s just my 2 cents about that.

Problem #1. Who gives two flying shits if others think you're cool? Tone it down and read a bit. You're on a horror board. Most people who make it here come to do two things: Learn about horror when they can and teach about horror when they must. Ask yourself: do I fall into either of these catagories? If you said no, you're probably on the wrong forum.

Most people I know consider this ass sucking. If you have your opinion, say it mate. If people disagree, it's part of life. The hardest thing (and most respectable, in my opinion) when you're your age is to admit you don't know shit about shit but you're trying. Besides, being smacked around here by older people is good for you. Learn what you can from old bastards and try to pass it on to others.

It's fine to be obssessed with one movie series, but I know you know more about horror than that. Post what you feel about what you like. Take your potshots, argue when you must and stand corrected when you are. You couldn't find a better group of individuals to learn about the genre from. I can't state it enough, but if I knew as much shit about horror as some of the 17-20 year olds around here do I'd be in awe of myself. You have a great opportunity to learn from your peers; don't blow it.

Do you have any idea about how much crap I've dealt with here? It's safe to say that everyone except maybe two people hated me for the first 6 months I was on this site. Just be yourself, let people hate you and don't think much of it. I'd much rather hear opinions I don't agree with than stupid random spam.

Also you're younger than most people here, so just like real life there's a bit of a gap there.

Ferret, when I joined HDC in the cold bleak Dec. of '03, I thought I knew horror. Then I realized over the years that I didn't know shit. Even the obscure shit that I'd seen wasn't obscure to these jokers. So, know what I did and am doing? Going out when I can and buying or renting films I haven't seen. I go talk to people here from time to time, and at some point during the conversation, I ask them for some recommendations. I have a link to a page at Amazon.com for the Val Lewton Horror Collection, 'cause pretty soon, I'mma buy that summ'bitch and have myself a marathon.

Maybe you should too (although not necessarily those films if they don't sound like your bag). Check the HDC top 100, and check some of those films out. That way, even if you don't venture to the lower forums much, you'll at least feel like you have a right to be here. That will alleviate these feelings of insecurity.

My advice is that is doesn't really matter who here likes you. there are some very cool people, it seems, but there are also some mean spirited ones too. Anyway, it's an internet forum, so you can expect to see both ends of the spectrum. Who gives a shit, just talk to who you want to and have fun. That's what this is all about.

I've taken your advice and told this guy at school who didnt like me to fuck off and worry about his life, not mine. I've also started venturing to other parts of HDC.

P.S-did any of you guys see that star trek when data and lor went and saw their creator and everyone thought data had gone nuts. What about in the original series when theywent onto the planet where a disease killed all over 15's and spok almost died?

My dad pretty much brought me up on star trek.
