Hannibal Rising

Could have swore that there was a thread about this already, but I couldnt find it.

So, anyone excited about this? My hopes arent too high, but it looks halfway decent.

Agreed, but I haven't really liked any of the movies after Silence of the Lambs. I was bored with Hannibl, and Red Dragon was o.k.

I am getting tiered of them going backwards with these movies instead of going forward. If I remeber Red Dragon they kind of revealved Hannibl's origin. I don't think its necessary to make another prequal.

Shadow 01-22-2007 06:02 AM

I dislike any films going backwards whats wrong with starting at the start and moving forward lol but thats just me.

However thank you for the trailer as it looks like a great film.

Looking forward to seeing it but yea disappointing about anthony hopkins understandable but disappointing lol

Zero 01-22-2007 09:29 AM

this film will suck in ways heretofore unimagined in the realms of suckdom. . . mark my words!!

sawmeg 01-22-2007 09:37 AM

i saw the trailer today it actually looks really intresting and quite good

Roderick Usher 01-22-2007 09:40 AM

I'm sure it will suck but I'm such a sucker for the character. I'm in, even though I'm certain to regret it.

sawmeg 01-22-2007 10:22 AM

i dunno it might be alright i've started to have a change of heart with saw 4 now aswell now i know a little more about the plot

illdojo 01-22-2007 01:31 PM

The trailer looks good.... but I have been fooled before. I will wait for DVD.

a mccuaig 01-22-2007 02:32 PM

Ditto. I'd rather wait too. No hopkins!!! That's just no fun right there. I guess I'll shut up until I see it though. Don't want to stick my filthy foot in my mouth. Fungus! Ick!

I thought Hannibal Rising was the story of Lector's childhood?

If thats the case, why would Hopkins be in it?

paws the great 01-22-2007 04:05 PM

[QUOTE=urgeok;537963]the films have gotten progressively worse since Manhunter.
Silence of the lambs was ..ok...but i was never that crazy about it.

Silence of the Lambs is the best film ever made.:D

Shadow 01-23-2007 01:33 AM

I would agree that Silence of the Lambs is a good film. I was a little disappointed at first after reading the book but the film is well done and I like it.

Think my plan is to re-read the books and re-watch the films then see Hannibal rising.

Yes,it is a good book but I like the movie better. It's a well made film and Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, Scott Glenn and Ted Levine are all GREAT actors.I cain't find one single flaw in this BEAUTIFUL FILM.

Its the PERFECT movie.:)

I did find that it was very enjoyable to watch very well made but you know the way where you get it set your own way when reading a book then its all different in the film lol. I think I need to watch it again for a refresh of memory I do remember liking it though.

I've seen this too and it is a good movie, but remember he was playing an old man with prostate problems, i still think he'd be scary if that's what the part called for
