Who's everyone's favorite screen Dracula?

Would it be the great Christopher Lee, the equally great Bela Lugosi, the Lugosi-clone Gary Oldman, the hammy John Carradine, the seductive Frank Langella, the beefy Jack Palance...or any of the other dozen or so off-brand shoulders that have filled the cape!!!!

i loved gerald butler as dracula the overall movie(dracula 2000) was'nt that great but his performance was just awesome.

Oldman-hands down.

And then there was Miles O'Keefe Dr. K. Hehe.

gary oldman, i didnt even know it was him until i saw the credits. He even made the movie rock WITH keanu Reeves, thats some acting power right there.

Oldman...NO QUESTION ABOUT IT:cool:

Aasiyan 01-04-2004 02:46 PM

I cannot pick just one. All of them have their own little personalities.

Javyn 01-04-2004 08:19 PM

Oldman & Lugosi without a doubt.

SweetDreams420 01-07-2004 10:10 PM

Gary Oldman

I'm still waiting for the perfect Dracula.
-feral like Christopher Lee
-old-fashioned like Bela Lugosi
-creepy like Max Shreck
-hypnotic like Frank Langella

I don't have a real strong impression of Gary Oldman in the Coppola Dracula film but when he turned into a giant bat-monster I became irritated with the whole thing. I probably should see it again.

How about that George Hamilton? Ick.

Olman & Christopher are my picks

For me Christopher Lee made the part his own , he's perfect .
Lugosi ....... well good for his time but I'm afraid he's just to over the top nowadays. Although he does retain a certain iconic quality . Louis Jordan is my second favourite from the BBCs production .......... very authentic . Palance ,no thanks it just did'nt work . Gerard butler was good , I would have liked to have seen more of him in sequels but it's probably not a good idea for an actor to get type cast . I know it hurt Lees career for a few years .
As far as Gary Oldman goes ........... he's a great actor , I loved him in JFK ....... stunning . As Dracula ? .... nope , not for me .
As I said Christopher Lee has put the ultimate performance of the count on screen for all to see ............ plus , he's a really nice guy and a gentelman .......... that's me and him below
