Worst horror DVDs of 2006
 

For new films released on DVD in 2006, what are the worst of the worst? Here is my list of the 10 worst which I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. I've organized them from worst to least worst. The easiest way for a film to make this list is by not being even a little scary.

1. The Omen (remake)
2. The Wickerman (remake)
3. Room 6
4. An American Haunting
5. The Descent
6. Silent Hill
7. Hostel
8. When a Stranger Calls (remake)
9. Population 436
10. Feast

I personally liked Room 6 and Silent Hill.

I liked the Descent very much and I found Silent Hill at least tolerable, although it had many flaws. If it were my list, 1-10 would be Hostel.

Wouldnt put Hostel or The Omen in 10 worst. Other than that I agree.

I didn't think Hostel was bad, it just wasn't that good.

What about The Fog?

yeah, the fog was a horrible waste

i really enjoyed these two

i didn't like hostel but i don't hate
and i do think it was one of best horror movies last year

Dave am I right in thinking you are english? As far as I can tell most english people only give 1 to 3 out of 5 for The Descent, and yet americans in general seem to of loved it...weird. Maybe it being an english movie makes it more interesting to them?

i liked the descent and hostel and hated an american haunting. the worst movies i watched in 2006 although they weren't released last year were hoboken hollow and jeepers creepers, also a friend bought me don't look in the basement. what was that robert englund movie set at the end of the american civil? was it any good?

havnt seen the Descent yet, i bet ill enjoy it, but i dont think this should be on the list.

It wasn't AMAZING, but it wasn't TERRIBLE. I think the whole WWE propaganda killed audience reactions a bit, even though Kane was an excellent choice. I'd say it's at least worth a watch if your a horror fan. Better then some other stuff that came out in 06 at least *coughs at The Wicker Man*.

I have to wait till the 8th of Jan, when my bank account will get injected with some much needed student loan...then I will be buying Ringu Collectors Trilogy boxset, and I'll probably buy Rasen single DVD too from the same place, seeing as its not that expensive. :D

I think after that I'll buy one or two more DVD's seeing as they are still cheap due to January sale, then I'll stop spending money for a while :)

The only one on your list I liked was When a Stranger Calls. Not scary, but a good movie, in my opinion.
Hostel & the remake of The Omen did suck a lot.
I didn't really like The Descent at all, either.

I didn't find it that entertaining. It was thrilling, but it just wasn't my type of movie.

Where is Pulse, Slither and Stay Alive?? these are better than AMERICAN HAUNTING, SILENT HILL or THE DESCENT??!! I don't think so.

I liked Stay Alive. The plot was kind of lame, but it was a good movie, in my opinion.

I thought Pop. 436 was great I think hostle should be Number ! in crap. the rest were ok/ when a stranger calls was bad as well.
