HDC - a year in review: 2006
I spent the last hour looking back over the various threads posted to in 2006 (ok, not all of them because there are a butt-load! - but I skimmed through pretty well).
Here are the main headlines from HDC in 2006 (feel free to add those events I missed). In no particular order: HDC REFORMATTED - THREATS OF REVOLUTION SUBSIDE! AUSTIN BECOMES A MOD! AUSTIN DISAPPEARS! TAYLOR'S MOMMY BECOMES HAMMERFAN! HAMMERFAN DISAPPEARS! FILMMAKER2 BECOMES CRABAPPLE (but won't disappear) URGEOK RETURNS TO GENERAL FORUM! IA75 CHALLENGES ZERO TO BATTLE OF WITS: IA COMPLETELY CRUSHED! IA75 DISAPPEARS! DARTH BANE RETURNS (briefly)! BONER GETS BANNED - (and then "renob" joins, hmmm)! ROD USHER JOINS (and adds some class to the joint)! PINKFLOYD BECOMES A MOM (AGAIN!)! CHATROOM STARTED: QUICKLY DESCENDS INTO CHAOS! SCARYMINDA HAS EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN (about 12 of them as a matter of fact) CHEEBA FREAKS OUT: GETS BANNED!! CHEEBA BECOMES PHALANX: HASN'T BEEN BANNED (YET)! SKOOFX SHAMLESSLY SELF-PROMOTES (but we still love him)! VAMPIRIC CLOWN BIDS HDC TEARFUL FAREWELL (like 10 times!)! SLIPKNOT BREAKS HIS ARM! NEWB REVEALS: I'M A TOTAL DRUNK! REVELATION MET WITH YAWNS! HDC SURVIVOR GAME HELD: NO ONE PAYS ATTENTION! ASH WINS 2nd ANNUAL HORROR ICON TOURNEY! SHAUN OF THE DEAD NAMED "HORROR FILM OF THE MILLENIUM!" TRIP DISAPPEARS AND THEN RETURNS! ZERO DISAPPEARS AT 3333 (but, sadly, he returns to fling much dung!) OMCDAVE JOINS HDC: LEVELS OF IRRELEVANCE RISE DRAMATICALLY! NEXT HDC 100 PLANNED: PLANS STILL ON HOLD! TOP THREADS OF 2006: STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS; THIS OR THAT?; COPMLETELY OFF-TOPIC THREAD; and LAST THING YOU ATE! FLAYED JOINS HDC - IGNORED BY THE PRESS! |

I remember this thread. Seems like 2006 was a pretty rollicking year for HDC.
Should ve made one for each year after that, redhead. Yeah I wonder about the lost ones too, and if we will ever get to see them again. |
