Ok, stop being greedy, I don't care what you want for christmas.

What about what you are giveing, what have you bought for whom, and who missed out because they where naughty?

I got for...

Brother 1 and family - Choclates (there is to many of them)

Brother 2 - A Rodney Rude dvd ( he nearly missed out but he was good last year and i didn't get him a present then)

Brother 3 - Farmers market cook book

Brother 4 - Daicos Magic (An old football video he used to have but lost and is only available through the club now)

My mum - A wine set

Nieces - charlie and the choclate factory and madagascar dvds

And my girl - some perfume, nail polish, a few cds, and handbag.

What about you guys?

She never buys cd's but there are heaps of albums she wants, so i always have to get them for her, plus i get to listen to them aswell and she has good taste.

Whats wrong with that?

VampiricClown 12-13-2006 06:28 AM

You are speaking of your girlfriend correct?...

The Flayed One 12-13-2006 06:32 AM

I'm wondering what this is all about as well. I've had plenty of girls who loved CDs for Xmas. A lot of them request them. I've also had great success buying them video games and movies. Then again, most of the women I've dated aren't extremely girly. They'd pishposh roses and stuffed animals. I've also bought a couple of my exs tattoos for birthdays, which they loved.

The girls I've ever met didn't care for that kind of stuff for xmas...They'd rather have necklaces and pretty things, not cd's and movies...Never had a gamer chick either. lol

Yes my girlfriend, i wouldn't be buying perfume for my daughter.

Phalanx 12-13-2006 07:19 AM

Myself, and family have never really done the christmas thing...but, some people do, so...
I'm giving...

Brother - Lots of custom and requested cds, a whole big bunch of emulated games, some clothes, pc games, and some tv series burnt onto dvd, probably throw in some assorted candy 'n shit too.

Mother - Music, Some spices that are hard to get in her area (it's a little remote, to say the least), a few dvds, and some recipes.

I'll be sending their shit up to arrive on or near x-mas.

The girls mother - We're just gonna doa traditional roast dinner with everything...hang out together, the girl might give her some make-up-y shit, I dunno about all that.

The girl and I don't really much get into christmas...I'll cook her a nice meal or do the cooking and cleaning for a whole day, she might do something similar...we just figure "fuck it", why add to the whole christmas expence...our financial situation aint shit-hot, so we just do nice shit for eachother yknow?, get trashed and spend time together...go out someplace, even if it's just to say "yeah, here's what we're doing for christmas"

My dad - A big peice of south african bhiltong, a custom case of imported beers...his girfriend and her kids, probably just dvds, games and chocolate, that kind of unimaginative shit, to be presented next time I see them all, whenever that is.

Girlfriends brother - scissor sisters latest cd
" " 's wife - Cook a nice gourmet meal for her and hers, when they arrive back.
" " 's daughter (youngest) - Books, a lot of books.
" " 's daughter (eldest) - A fondue set, some goodies.
Probably shop for whatever the local bottleshop tells me is a nice bottle of wine to have with dinner.

Random friends - I'll have over for a kickass bbq and beers.

Always good using a trade as gifts...

Despare 12-13-2006 07:37 AM

I buy for about 15 people, would take too long to list what I've already bought heh.

A bunch. But you have to factor in birthdays, valentines and shit like that.

Plus, I had girlfriends back before that.

But hey, no need for buying any girls anything this year....Although I do have a very nice bracelet packed away that I was going to give Stefanie...It's a $200 opal one....Oh well...She isn't getting it now.

scaryminda15 12-13-2006 07:57 AM

lol

lol my brother being good i dont think so. but i guess he could be worse. well as usual i am still as good as an angel.

Nikkif8 12-13-2006 08:02 AM

Every year I try to buy less and less but it doesn't always happen.

For my Mom -I have bought her a little picture frame ornament, I burned her some CDs which she requested and my spouse is making her a frame for her Scarface poster which she requested as well. I may pick her up one more little thing.

My Spouse- I got a nice Flask set, 2 posters of our favorite musician-couldn't decide which one so I got both. I think I am going to get him a new wallet and maybe 1 or 2 more little things. We decided not to go over board on each other.

My Godsons- gift certificates to the mall or something

My Dad and his wife- Not sure yet. I usually send them a gallon of maple syrup, lol, that is usually what he asks for.

Spouses nephews-not sure yet. I think for one of them I am getting a little work bench and tool set, he loves to "work with Dad". We have 4 nephews all under 3 so it shouldn't be hard.

Inlaws nothing-decide not to do gifts

Mother Inlaw may get a pair of snow shoes though.

And since my neighbors felt the need to give us gifts already I think I am going to bake a variety of treats and give them to neighbors and friends.

Rather then spend a ton of money I try to make things which I have always thought is nice and meaningful.

Vodstok 12-13-2006 11:02 AM

other GUYS?

If that isnt a typo, then you are a whole lot of Man there, my friend :)

To be dumped for another woman can be viewed as a good thing or a bad thing:
You are either so bad she swore off men, or so good she swore off all other men.

If she dumped oyu for multiple men, then you raised the bar, and only more than one could fulfill the role. You rule :)

stubbornforgey 12-13-2006 12:41 PM
