It starts with cookies and ends with a crank binge....Poor Cookie Monster looks like he just spent two hard weeks with Paris Hilton and Grace Jones.

That sounds like fun and that looks like fun.

What looks like fun? Being a raving spun pile of blue fluffy fur with buggy eyes? Or being ATTACKED by a raving spun pile of blue fluffy fur with buggy eyes?
Maybe it's the Sesame Street Zombie Special.....Bert should have a chainsaw and a shotgun.
Sunny days sweeping the clouds away my ass.

Got one fo rthe wife last year. She had mentioned she wanted one, then began thinking "Why bother?" because we almost never used it, except for popcorn.

Then we had a baby, and it shaved about 10 minutes off of heating the water to heat her bottle. In the summer, we were eating almost nothing but lean cuisine, and now, we use it to heat the baby's food because we make a bunch of real food for her ahead of time then reheat it.

in a year, we have put it through the same amount of work as a convenience store microwave experiences in 3 years.

And the dog has a cool 3rd eye now.

For the record, i prefer to heat things on a stove top or in the oven, but Bree thinks i am nuts.

the microwave saved my life...
I've had one for almost 20 years (the same one !)

since i dont want to spend the majority of my evenings washing pots and pans i can appreciate the ability to reheat food in the container I store the leftovers in.
same goes for leftovers at work.

nice!

but really, I enjoy cooking. I make meals from scratch, and cook on the stove top (gas, not electric) or bake in the oven. Slow cooking always tastes better than something rushed.

we use gas as well ..

with both of us commuting i'll take any time saver available to allow me to spend more time with my kid than i'll spend with the prep and cleaning up.

We try to make the big meals on the weekend and fast ones during the week because of this.

also - more and more i just see food as fuel - not a passtime. I want it to be healthy - thats about my only requirement these days.
