AOD is definatly in my top five favorite movies. It's a campy B-movie with an A-list budget. Bruce Campbell kicks serious ass. Everyone else's thoughts?

I'd pick the first two evil deads before this one

Sam Raimi's third film in the Evil Dead series is good,but not as good as the first two.

This one more a comedy than the rest IIMO...
when the ASH head is in the grave hole and ASH says "what's that on your face?" then throws the shovel full of dirt on it...good stuff.

I like it too, but I have a difficult time considering it horror rather than comedy/action.

i dont think you can compear the 3rd film from 1 and 2 at all. there too different!
i can never decide which out of the the three films i like best tho, i changes all the time for me. but im guna go wiv the first one at the moment :p

I like Army of Darkness. I think it lost some charm by going over the top with the comedy. One of the most attractive things about the first Evil Dead is there are genuinely scary moments in the film.

i think its great fun ... love the movie - but the gradual leap from acid-horror to all out comedy wasnt very gradual from 2 to 3 .. it was far too big of a leap for it to be considered a tue part of the trilogy (even with the darker alternative anding)

there ALL great films in the own different way.

I like it, just not nearly as much as the first two in the series. My favorite moment was when Ash splits in two, and the evil side proceeds to call him "Little goody two shoes" while kicking him. That cracks me up every time.

I've put lots of thought into whether I like AOD or ED2 better. I settle on Army mostly because Ash fully becomes Ash in it. In the first 2 he wasn't the short tempered blow hard he was here. Bruce Campbell's best performance of the 3 I say. Also, there's the added bonus of it being insanely quotable.:)
