and if you want to change fonts or add smilies etc you have to click advanced to take you to the regular reply box anyway so there's not really much point to it

The_Return 11-11-2006 03:31 PM

Not really.

To post a normal reply, you need to load a new page. No big deal for those of us with a good internet connection, but on dial-up it could take awhile.

With Quick Reply, you dont need to load a new page to type your reply. The box opens in the same page, potentially saving time.

Iīm right, youīre wrong.

I always use quick reply. It does save time. I have a good connection, but an older computer. It's a few less clicks, so it's a few seconds less time. Every second helps.

Yu do realise that you need to click the little icon beside "Quote" to activate the Quick Reply box, right?

Dante'sInferno 11-12-2006 03:47 PM

Phalanx 11-12-2006 03:49 PM

Hey dante...haven't seen you round in a bit...how ya been?

Fuck the quick reply shit...I say "standard" reply is quick enough for me, what's one more button...I'm more used to it anyhow, changing it would probably make it a slower process.

Disease 11-12-2006 03:56 PM

i see, yeah, I guess, it is quicker, but still kinda pointless.

Just fine and you?

Phalanx 11-12-2006 04:11 PM

All good, all good...see you're hangin' out for Spiderman 3 too huh?

Dante'sInferno 11-12-2006 04:13 PM

Yes I hope Venom makes it in the movie more then 10 minutes. That would be awsome! And good good.XD

Phalanx 11-12-2006 04:21 PM

From what I've heard, they spend the background of this film setting the character up, Brock enters the storyline towards the beggining, but, venom doesn't really come into fruition until the end of this film, making him the likely villain for the fourth.
Which is good, because that means that for the next film, they'll have more of a budget for his effects, rather than splitting between another really effect-sy character (eg - sandman), and, he'll get a film focussing on him.
Of course, it'll be cool to see him at ALL.

Dante'sInferno 11-12-2006 04:26 PM

Agreed,it's going to take ALIOT of CGI to make venom look believable.I hope they can pull it off

Phalanx 11-12-2006 04:31 PM

I think they can...but, I think they'll do better if they dedicate more budget to it...which is good, 'cos early venom = no teamups. The whole fill could, and should be just him.

Yknow..that pic you have in your avatar, it's from a card (a fleer series, if I recall), I actually had the very same one...fucking great card series that was.

Dante'sInferno 11-12-2006 04:34 PM

i hope they teamed up enough for this films sake for Venom to look right,I mean tounge/saliva and teeth and everything.Hah!I want to collect all the comics featured with venom! He's my favorite comic book character besides spidey and batman.

Disease 11-12-2006 08:35 PM

I'm useing quick reply all the time now.
