I checked in on Witchvox today. If I hadn't been expecting the responses I think I might have been pissed. (They were responding to the news release of Hussein's fate; there isn't a forum). Of course they were bitching about the war and how it was a pack of lies, which is true, but like Trip said, at least something good came out of it. That would be the down fall of a genocidal asshole.

Then someone said that they did not support the death penalty under any circumstances. Generally I might concur in this country, because many innocent people have been executed due to shoddy investigations, unethical agendas, and so forth. However, this creature is a monster. We KNOW that what he'd been doing. The asshole took videos of his actions, thus incriminating himself. The people of Iraq were MORE than willing to say, "Yep, he's a piece of shit."

Here's the real pisser about some of the comments. One person had the gall to say that this was a US propaganda stunt. HAW!!!! Yeah, so. We (not just the US, but every country that lended a hand to vote this fuck off the planet, so a "collective WE") flushed a piece of shit down the toilet. They dont want us there. Iraq is much like Vietnam in that regard. No doubt, the majority of iraqis wanted Sadam gone, but now he is gone, and they just want to go back to their own business. Its shitty, we never even get a thnak you for helpingout, but its the way the world works.

I suppose, but i think close control would be more effective in the long run than war.
