What horror movie has disturbed you the most?

Mine would have to be A Clockwork orange:eek:

alkytrio666 11-04-2006 09:05 AM

Last House on the Left, Nekromantik, and The Exorcist.

paws the great 11-04-2006 09:52 AM

The Exorcist
The Exorcist 3
Hostel
Cannibal Holacaust

PhilnEdee 11-04-2006 11:19 AM

as a kid, Amytiville Horror, the original, and ALIEN both actually scared me...
as an adult, the TCM-the beginnings gave me that uneasy (disturbed) feeling.

knife_fight 11-04-2006 11:58 AM

more exploitation than horror, but when I was about 12 me and some friends rented that classic of the "Nazi Camp" subgenre SS Hell Camp. I felt "not right" for a few days. I have never been affected that much by a film before or since.

I've seen the movie since, and although I don't think it's a great film, it's fun and almost laughable now, even a bit campy (pun intended).

Evil Z 11-04-2006 12:07 PM

passion of the christ is disturbing
not exactly horror but sick stuff doing to that poor guy
hostel looks like vacation

paws the great 11-04-2006 12:26 PM

I have SS Hell Camp on DVD,and it is sick.

kev72 11-04-2006 01:33 PM

it's really not that sick, compared to stuff I have seen since. but that's just a testament to how desensitized I am in my old age.

but when you're 12, and all your friends are checking out the latest Disney movie or Back to the Future 2, that shit is disturbing.

GetrDone 11-04-2006 10:34 PM

Exorcist for sure

Amalthea_unicorn 11-05-2006 01:50 AM

The Entity

Angra 11-05-2006 02:05 AM

No not really, but the thread starter had "a clockwork orange", so "Irreversible" fits just fine in here..

joshaube 11-05-2006 11:49 AM

Nekromantik, for sure. The fact the director released more then one movie of this type makes me question whether or not he's right in the head.

Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane

That asshole that kept messing with her REALLY bothered me...Most likely because I was about her age the first time that I saw it...Made me feel sick...

Popsicle Cannibal 11-05-2006 11:58 AM

Tashashi Miike's Visitor Q. Not really horror, but man is it messed up. To think that it was A MADE FOR TV MOVIE IN JAPAN! I've yet to find a another movie including necrophilia, incest, child murder, dismemberment, a kid beating his mother, group breast feeding.........its relentless.

Geddy 11-05-2006 12:14 PM

IT probably.

Such a gooood movie, Rayne. Jodie Foster and Martin Sheen...:)

I'd have to say Begotten - took 4 viewings to get past the first 15 minutes

Great movie.
That's been some years.
How the world moves on.

I'd have to say The Exorcist or Strangeland.

noctuary 11-05-2006 04:42 PM

Cutting Moments is by far the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. I've watched all the commonly mentioned titles in these threads: Irreversible, Last House on the Left, Cannibal Holocaust, etc. None of them even come close. It's only about fifteen minutes long, and it manages to be more horrific than a slew of exploitation films.

melaniepants 11-05-2006 05:16 PM

Elvis_Christ 11-05-2006 05:22 PM

Yeh dude it was some terrible shit.

swiss tony 11-06-2006 02:44 AM

the exorcist and the blair witch project were good. the exorcist did have a head start cause i watched when i was 10. also, event horizon and cannibal holocaust.

Geddy 11-06-2006 04:06 AM

I forgot about the blair witch project that scared the shit outta me.

EarthSlayer 11-06-2006 06:50 AM

I haven't seen it in a long time but when it came out" Henry: Portrait of a serial killer " really left me with weird feelings for a few days.

urgeok 11-06-2006 06:56 AM

not horror - but mystic river really got to me.

also - the very end of Possession..sad and horrifying

Despare 11-06-2006 07:12 AM

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, not horror but it was really a powerful movie and left me moved. Blair Witch never did anything for me, maybe it's because I used to be in the woods all the time but I really didn't bring anything away from that movie. It didn't fill me with dread, didn't scare me, I think it made me laugh once, but it just didn't do it for me.

mattalgrand 11-06-2006 02:24 PM

The crucifix mutilation scene in The Exorcist. Whether it's the first or hundredth time you've seen it, nothing ever prepares you for it. It's beyond words. I couldn't imagine how people reacted in '73 before ultra-violent horror movies became mainstream. It goes beyond even what most movies show today because you never see children become the objects of such violence. Let alone, self-induced violence.

swiss tony 11-07-2006 01:30 AM

not horror, but the scene in saving private ryan where the german slowly stabs the jewish paratrooper in the heart when help is so close but yet so far really gets to me. i still hate that bit. upham, you snivelling little bitch!

doctor satan 11-07-2006 05:19 AM

The most disturbing thing i've ever seen? The naked wrestling scene in Borat.

the_real_linda 11-07-2006 08:25 AM

oh my god that was so funny!!!! i felt so sorry for borat.....he had his balls in his face.......eugh!!!!

melaniepants 11-07-2006 09:28 AM

i totally agree with you mattalgrand

doctor satan 11-07-2006 12:20 PM
