John Carpenter was approached for this idea. Did he do it? I dunno. We'll see.:D

first of all, PLEASE DIE ALL VERSUS MOVIES!!!! Freddy vs. Jason was better then expected and alien vs. Predator might be worth it, but please everyone stop while we are ahead
Second, Why was John Carpentar approached about this, when Clive Barker was the creator of both frachises?? he would be a more obvious choice??????? |

I heard they were both approached (Carpenter and Barker) about the Hellraiser/Halloween crossover but the idea was dropped by Dimension. Never heard about a Candyman/Hellraiser flick, but Barker would be the obvious choice.

after seing freddy vs jason today id actualy like to se more versus movies, i hear mixed things about it but i loved it personaly...and it made me 100 $ ritcher, it had its flaws but its ups as well.

I posted this a while back. It's part of a small interview from a local magazine. It's translated from Dutch. In this, Carpenter says he was approached to direct the Hellraiser/Candyman movie, but says he declined:
Question: There are rumors they're planning a remake of your biggest classic 'Halloween' in Hollywood? Carpenter: They didn't ask me. They did ask me if I would be interested in a monstermovie where Pinhead from Hellraiser would battle with Candyman. It would be something like Freddy vs Jason. I kindly declined. Question: In a recent interview you have complained that you barely get any work in Hollywood. You even threatened to retire and only smoke dope & watch porn from now on. Carpenter: I meant that half-ironically. But I admit: It isn't as fun as it used to be. I'm not planning on making any more movies, unless someone gives me a fortune. |

I think it would be a interesting concept but would really be a good movie? I am an avid Pinhead fan and I do like the
Candyman but how would you bring the two together and really make it worth watching!!!!!!! |
It just wouldn't work, unless they where included in the next two freddy vs jason movies.
it just might work, but the whole idea just sounds silly jason and freddy where bigger movie serial killers and had more movies released |
