For All Of You Who Were Unjustly Banned And Would Like Your Previous SN Back
 

Okay, before you get excited, I'm not sure if this will work...BUT...


I noticed in the new mod panel that we can now view all banned members, as well as WHO BANNED THEM.....However, the 'Who done it' only applies to anyone who's banned NOW, after the upgrade...Which totally sucks, because I thought we were FINALLY going to discover WHO was responsible for the 'mysterious bannings'....You have no idea how excited I was, but they all just say 'N/A' under who banned them


Anyway....There is NOW an option to ban a person for a certain amount of time, when the time expires, the ban is lifted...


Sooo...Are you guys thinking what I'M thinking?


This is what I did...I put in 'Vampenguin'...So, NOW it says that I banned him, AND that the ban will be lifted TOMORROW (one day was the shortest time period option available)!

I seriously don't know if this is going to work...But, I definitely want to try it...Of course, if it DOES work, it's going to look like I banned everyone:o ...BUT...You guys would have your old SNs back, too!

I'm willing to make that sacrifice :)

I wouldn't mind being able to have a custom avatar again. If you delete your current custom one, there's no option to upload a new one. So you're stuck with choosing a default one.

Hell with this huge ass post count...

did you try linking to an image on say photobucket and not uploading an attachment (as there does seem to be an issue with that?

There's no where to insert a link to an external host though, in the avatar settings.

Cheeba V2.O Seems to be the only one still on the list, BR...that would be fine, but if I had a preference in the matter, my original cheebacheeba would be #1, followed by ChEEbA, then c2.0, so, whichever's good.

There were TWO incidents...The first one was admittedly kPro...The second one, no one ever admitted to...It was total bullshit

Honestly...Even if this DOES work...I don't think we could bring back any of Bane's names, because he actually got a full IP ban by Horror himself

Maybe the bannings being close together is the reason for my confusion as I was never really aware of a second batch of random bannings. Myabe if they happened close enough together, I just sorta lumped them all together as 1 incident.

not that it matters really. hopefully people have more going on for them in their real lives to get all bent out of shape about a banning .. especially since they all get right back on anyway.

True...It isn't REALLY about the banning...It's just about the blatant dishonesty...For someone to do that (or anything really) and come on here day after day, denying it, flat out lying about it...It supremely pisses me off when people refuse to take responsibility for the shit that they do...

I don't honestly know WHY that matters to me...But, it truly, truly does...

Whoever did it also removed our original picture thread and a long-running musicians thread in the Music forum at the same time that they banned a lot of people for no reason....I wasn't capable of doing that at the time, and I seriously doubt that more than one person was behind it...I'm pretty sure that Zwoti had no control over the General forum or Music forum at that time either

The only people that I know for a FACT had the capability (and were all here the night that it happened) were Arioch, AMK, and kPro

AMK admitted to banning a few people, and deleting entire threads "on accident" at various times before and after the incident

kPro admitted to banning a bunch of people for no good reason with the excuse that he was drunk, before the incident

Arioch...He knew exactly what he was doing, so if HE did it, it was on purpose


It really is just the refusal to admit to what he/she did that stays with me.....I can't help it

well, when it boils down to it the reality is that we're a bunch of people from all over the world - faceless - on the internet.

there is no accountability on an internet forum - no matter if you are a mod or not - this 'lack of honesty' proved it without question.

if you are able accept this - its easier to move on...

i just see it as part of the equation.
