Suggestions For Navigating This New Format
 

I am hoping to encourage you guys to work together to figure this out...

If any of you have any questions, or have discovered something that might be helpful to the rest of us, please post it here.

Here are a few suggestions:

1) If a button doesn't work (such as the 'Search' feature) - Right click on it, then choose 'open link' or 'open'

2) If you would like to post a picture - Get a Photobucket account (It's fast and easy)...Upload images there, then copy/paste the box marked 'IMG' directly onto your reply

3) If you would like to have a picture gallery - Create a Photobucket account (a separate one from the one you would post pictures from)...Go to account options (in the top right corner) there, make THAT account 'Public'...Then put a link to it in your signature

4) To send a message to a forum member - Just click on their name in any of their posts


That's about all I've got right now

I only have ONE suggestion:

1) Change this shit back to the way it was

I'd like to have back the section in Members where you could see who the top 250 so posters were. I liked seeing myself in the top 30 posters of all time list. It was quite fun.

I want the words under my name back!!!

Click on 'Members', then right click on 'search members' (top right), choose the 'open' option. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page (on the left), click on 'order results by' then choose 'post count'. There ya go

I have no idea why that happened to some people...I have the option to change my title in 'edit profile'...But that option doesn't appear for Dustin...The title he had before the changes is still there...

I'm not sure why some of them were changed and others got stuck on there, OR why the option to change it has disappeared for some people:confused:

the only thing i miss - and not much at all - is the ability to see 'who's online'

i got a kick out of all the posts being reported at any given time.

I'm sure, in time, the changes are for the better.....look....I got a nifty little sig-thingy I made.

I would like to know why it has taken me at least half an hour for HDC to recognize me. (Although I logged on ok, i could not post anything! and i kept getting a text box with re-enter your user name and password):mad:

And I have just noticed that when I press shift + two button @ that is what i get, but if i press the ampersand button + shift i get this "?

i've got to say that i genuinely hate the new format (and I was actually a member of another forum a while back that shifted to this same format and i ended up just quitting it because it ruined everything - i doubt i could quit hdc for more than a few weeks at a time, but it sure makes me reluctant to come on and post much).

Go to the bottom of the front forum page...Click on 'Currently Active Users'...Then you'll see 'Who's Online'

I had pictures of the kids in there that I don't have anywhere else, because I figured they'd always be HERE.....Bad call...

I just honestly don't see the point..I mean, we COULD have used a color change, and maybe a little something here and there (like the political forum we were told was going to be added 2 YEARS AGO)...But...THIS is major overkill...

And...We DEFINITELY could have used a warning...We didn't have a clue what was going on...And...Many of us still don't :p

BTW Gore, you can still see where you stand...go to the members list, the click where it says "Posts". It will arrage it by # of posts, starting with the most.

A' right I was bitchin' about the photobucket thing, but I've got it figured out. Pretty easy. I can handle this, it'll just take some getting used to. What I really really like, are the easy to use font, bold, italics, underline, colore, and size things. That's an improvement. The smilies are cuter too.

I like the chat window...pretty neat...cept that more people need to log into it...

the birthday list comes and goes. yesterday it wasn't there, today it is. notice how it's incredibly shorter as well ?

aah and for some reason, i saw that yesterday was Arioch's birthday... so happy birthday to you, if you're ever lurking around here and happen to stumble upon this thread (which i doubt).

What prompted this change??? All this extra work to add a photo etc.....when everything was working just fine before. If you see that a-hole Horror tell him to "Fuck Off" for screwing up the forum, one in which he never seemed to use anyway!!!!!!!!!!! :mad:
