I just bought and read "Twilight" and "New Hope" by Stephanie Meyer. Vampire lite for the young adult set, but I have a daughter who wanted to read them and so I checked them out first. More romance than horror but well written for that age group. Vamp books of all kinds are my favorite, Anne Rice of course and general Vampire romance...

Noit famillar with those titles myself, but that description means I have to break out a trusty dusty recomendation:

The Saga of Darren Shan. (Cirque du Freak / Vampire's Assistant / Tunnels of Blood / Vampire Mountain / Trials of Death / The Vampire Prince / ECT.)

When I was younger (as in, like 4-5 years ago), I was absolutely obsessed with these books. "Vampire lite for the young adult set" describes them just about perfectly, loved them when I was in the age bracket. HIGHLY recomended.

I went to a library book sale this morning and got:

"From a Buick 8" by Stephen King (paperback)

"Relic" by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child (paperback)

"The Inhuman Condition" by Clive Barker (paperback)

And a first edition hardcover of "Man-Eaters of Kumaon" by Jim Corbett

All these for a total of $3.00. I'm a happy man.

we have one that sells more donations than actual ex-lib books .. so the donations arent stamped/defaced in any way by the library.

i made a fortune selling the ones i didnt want on ebay.

Pick me up a extra copy for xmas :)

I picked up my copy of Down and Dirty for $5 brand new at a sale.... if I had've waited a week it would've been half that price. There was only one copy tho so I had to grab it.

During my recent Black Friday outing I picked up a few.

100 Years of Steam Trains - Christmas gift for Dad
Ship of Ghosts - CG for Dad
Gardening in Eden - CG for Mom
Tea Gardens - CG for Mom (Unfortunately, she already has it. Good thing it was "gently" used and on-sale. I'll donate it to the local library.)
Barron's Guide to English - Got this for my classroom.
Selected Works of Edgar Allan Poe - Another one for my classroom. My students always want to read more Poe after we finish The Tell-Tale Heart. This should keep them busy.
