OMG what a horrible new design!
 

This is such an ugly and unattractive new design. And we can't upload photos to our posts anymore either...it has to be a link to a url...well, a lot of the convenience went right out the window. This was basically my favorite message board site too. Oh well, guess I'll put a couple of smileys here just for fun.

Hey wow...there is even a limit to the number of smilies you can use (5). I tried to lay 7 of them down and had to go back and correct it.

this is really sad. really, it is. this site was my favorite. i cant stand this shit. ive been here for more than two years, and it just got butchered,

change is never easy - after a brief period of adjustment we'll all be used to it.

The 1 and only thing I DON'T like about the new layout is that it's very difficult to tell where someone's post ends & their signature begins. I think that little line above the signature should be extended across the whole page. Other than that, I'm liking it.

I have a question: On the main Forum page, if you scroll to the bottom where it tells you who's online, why do some members have a + sign next to their name?

That means they are better than the people without a plus. Anyone with a minus is a bottom feeder.

I kid of course. I have no idea. I just went and looked but no one had a plus by them for me.

1 thing I just noticed that's pretty sweet is this...

On the forum index pages, if you mouse over a topic without clicking, it will pop a little window and show you the first post. That could be a pretty good timesaving feature. I know I sure wouldn't have visited omcdave's 'Boobs' thread if that feature was around a couple days ago. :D

For the pictures I use in tournies though, I just hijack them off of whatever website is hosting them. :cool:

If you look below, you can see an "Attach Files" section under Additional Options.

Clicking on "Manage Attachments" takes you to a server error page though. I think it will be functional once the upgrade is complete. It will take some time though, so lets be patient.

Yeah, Horror did mention that this is far from being done. I'm not sure who all is aware, but last night the forum was down for a couple hours and then it came back up with this new look & a message from Horror saying it was "still a work in progress, but at least we're able to post now" or something along those lines....

Right now it said "upload of dogsoldiers.jpg failed".

I think they are working on it as we speak...

turning signatures off was a big help

i know they say patience is a virtue but can i have mine right now :rolleyes:

would have been nice if we'd been told about the upgrade before it happened, i'm sure we would all have agreed to:

a) stay away for a couple of hours while they did it

b) test it for glitches

instead of which, those who were online while the upgrade was going ahead had problems :eek: :eek: and the rest of us woke up to a site that only half works :mad:
