Favorite Hard core Album
My fav hardcore album is River Runs Red by Life of Agony and I think some of these songs should definately be in a movie.
I'd have to say my fav semi-hardcore song from a horror movie is Buck Cherry Everything from Nightmare on Elm St. Part 4. |
Shadows Fall - The War Within
...But until I find some more decent hardcore bands, that I like, this one will do. |

If you're talking about straight up hardcore for me its:
http://www.ravenmetal.com/images/urban777.jpg or else: http://homepages.nyu.edu/~alr237/af_victiminpain.jpg too many tuff guys ruined this genre. Which is a shame. Get a Vitamin X or DS-13 album and you're set tho..... totally killer. http://www.punkutopia.com/Merchant2/...ull/HC1202.jpg ^^ Some nice wax pressed of this album get while you can. Not to mention the killer Pushead art big n' 12" stlye. Buy buy buy... its a killer record. http://www.havocrex.com/images/photo.../0023_0002.jpg ^^ VX in action. They do AC/DC crossed with 80s Circle Jerks style xHCx Great shit... the Pissed Off compilation (everything they put out give or take) is great. The forgein (....well to me.....) kids wail all over this shit. |
there is no way i could choose just one....so a top ten
1) Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg (just as the first track proclaims Rebirth of Hardcore Pride!!!!! ) 2) Shelter - Beyond Planet Earth http://ec3.images-amazon.com/images/...26891010.L.jpg (it does not get more positive than this album.....and band for that matter.....krishna pop-core) 3) 411 - This Isn't Me http://g-images.amazon.com/images/G/...b73f7010.L.jpg (any skater from the early 90's knows this band from an old New Deal Video....this band is seriously ignored) 4) Snapcase - Progression Through Unlearning http://www.victoryrecords.com/Images...s300/VR051.jpg (seriously great breakdowns....and self introspective lyrics) 5) 108 - Creation. Sustenance. Destruction. http://revhq.com/images/covers/250/evr118.jpg (this band defines Krishna-core....possitive yet in your face hardcore) 6) Deadguy - Fixation On A Co-Worker http://www.themurderinn.it/Recension...nacoworker.jpg (this band has probablty sparked more binge murders then anything....insane hate) 7) Uniform Coice - Straight and Alert http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...51e45010.L.jpg (the west coast Minor Threat?....probably) 8) Better Than A Thousand - Just One http://cover6.cduniverse.com/MuzeAud...370/375688.jpg (a NYCHC supergroup and pure ode to circle pit hardcore) 9) 7 Seconds - Walk Together, Rock Together http://www.ghetto-rock.com/Afbeeldin...conds-walk.jpg (one of the originals....there would not have been hardcore without 7 Seconds) 10) Youth Of Today - Can't Close My Eyes http://www.punkutopia.com/Merchant2/...full/REV62.jpg (what can i say aout you of today....great positive sing alond hardcore) |
I'm far too lazy to look for pictures of all these album covers, so text is all there is.
Neurosis - Pain of Mind(Yes, they were a hardcore band at one time, and a damn good one too.) The Faith/ Void - Split LP Rites of Spring - End on End Minor Threat - er... just the entire discography Bad Brains - Black Dots And yes, tough guy/youthcrew ruined this genre. I blame fucking Earth Crisis. |

Did you get to see the drunk ass Boston punks fighting and the strait edge fuckers starting alot of shit? |

I have to agree with the OP. River Runs Red by Life of Agony. Listening to the downward spiral of the "character" and then the suicide at the end. One of the most in your face and mind opening albums ever. The rest of LoA's stuff was horrible, but this album is probably one of the greatest hardcore albums
