agreed - as for the Thing - i love both films, though for entirely different reasons.

i'll also admit really loving parts of Jackson's King Kong

I like the new Amityville Horror. It actually struck a little fear in me as the original never did.

does the l.o.t.r. count as a remake? probably just the first movie and first half of the second. i suppose it isn't hard to top a camp, psychadelic, hippy cartoon from the seventies. also, is it sad i went to see t.c.m. twice in the cinema?

THE THING def...and see the original...when that lady comes into the room with that pie...all those "soldiers" there...she says..."Anyone want a piece of this?"...oh that was priceless for BnW cinema.
His name leaves me "Arnes"? maybe...the Sheriff from Gunsmoke TV? he plays the original monster.

Amen...told some history that made you just want to watch the 1st one again..no chills, bumps etc...I kept expecting Tom Welling to use his Superman powers in the remake :)

Got to say I really like the remake of the Am. Horror (Ryan Reynolds was great).."What the hell is the matter with you people?!"
