Terminator scared you but The Exorcist didn't?

Miss Olivia 09-03-2006 10:29 AM

Grimace from the McDonald's commercials scared me, and so did that nasty little alien that sat on Jabba the Hut in Return of the Jedi. As far as movies go, the alien from Alien still scares the hell out of me. I dream about it a lot.

ItsAlive75 09-03-2006 10:33 AM

Superman scared the shit outta my ass.

Miss Olivia 09-03-2006 11:03 AM

I bet your mom was pissed about cleaning THAT up.:p

PR3SSUR3 09-03-2006 06:26 PM

Michael Myers particularly (before he became an anti-hero) and Darth Vader - who still haunts my dreams on occasion.

superman 09-03-2006 06:53 PM

my brother was scared of chucky when he was 3 he thought he would come out of the t.v and get him

PR3SSUR3 09-03-2006 07:10 PM

And did he?

superman 09-03-2006 07:12 PM

BH14 09-03-2006 10:32 PM

zelda from pet sematary...... after watching it, i was scared to fall asleep and there was a coat hanger that looked her in the dark that creeped me out....

1beastieibe 09-04-2006 06:44 AM

Jaws, and I still am

urgeok 09-04-2006 07:58 AM

billy barty (the midget)
i saw him on a variety show in the 60's (i was 3 or 4 years old) where he was the brunt of a bunch of short jokes by this big guy -so he would bite the big guy ...

i remember for a while after that being afraid to let my hands down over the bed while sleeping in fear that he was under my bed and would bite my fingers ..

heebiejeebies 09-04-2006 08:07 AM

The Candyman. The sad thing is I wasn't a kid; I was probably in my late teens, early 20's. I wouldn't say I was afraid of him (I do understand that he doesn't exist), but I still won't say "Candyman" while looking in a mirror. I know that's weird, but it's just a little quirk of mine. And I know a thing or two or three about quirks!!:p

Lala_Sound 09-04-2006 09:13 AM

Mine was I think his name is Slappy that wee little dummy thats evil *shudder* that and the clown from It.

oh man, the undertaker dude from Burnt Offerings
...
the mama from Mother's Day.... (and then Queenie)....

... all them damn zombies.....

oh and all those weirdos in American Gothic especially the girl with the dead baby...scared me way more than jason/freddie

ItsAlive75 09-04-2006 08:07 PM

Chuckie always scared me as a kid.

So did that goblin-ish thing from the end of Cat's Eye. Now I just laugh at him.

Freak 09-04-2006 08:32 PM

Freddy Krueger always scared me to death.I was afraid to go to sleep after watching NOES, but I never hesitated to watch it again the next day.

novakru 09-04-2006 08:33 PM

That bloody- chick- in- a- bag, from the first Nightmare On Elm Street

crabapple 09-04-2006 10:21 PM

Yes. That bloody chick in the bag was actually really creepy, and the other films in the series didn't have anything that worked like that. A very shivery sort of thing.

Yeah Slappy, he's from RL Stines Goosebumps! He was in the Night of the Living Dummy books.

crazy raplh 09-05-2006 02:32 PM

pinhead or any creature from hell raiser, the guy with the stitched eyes.

punk666 09-05-2006 02:59 PM

mine wasn't any well known 1 but it was the 1st little kid vampire in salem's lot when he was at the window, he scared me

Burning in Hell 09-06-2006 10:31 AM

Max Schreck (count Orlock) in Nosferatu! I saw this on TV when I was just about 7 or 8, and it scarred the hell out of me, while at the same time sparking my interest for horror movies...

Me too , other than the T.V part.

cyqe 09-06-2006 09:26 PM

The monkeys with wings from the Wizard of Oz, when I was little I had nightmares about them.

Spoorloos 09-06-2006 10:21 PM

those little ugly fuckers from the gate kind of spooked me, but i was never really scared of any movie character, when i was young i was scared of the gray alien image, big black eyes, i convinced myself aliens like that were gonna take me at night. i watched too much unsolved mysteries alone when i was a kid lol. seems so silly to me now

superman 09-12-2006 02:14 PM

oh and the witch from the wizzerd of oz scared me

garthmanorgirl 09-12-2006 04:02 PM

That old singing preacher guy from Poltergeist 2. I think I found out that he was really dying when that movie was filmed. It looked like it! He was falling apart. I was also pretty scared of the oompah-loompahs from Willy Wonka, and the flying monkeys from the Wizard of OZ.

lovecraft 09-12-2006 04:36 PM

While Leatherface scared me, I think the grandfather freaked me out even more. He sat there making those sucking noises...Really disturbing.

noctuary 09-13-2006 06:06 PM

No horror characters really bothered me as a child. The only thing that I remember being really afraid of was that fucking truck driver in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. That scene scared the living crap out of me, and I could never articulate to my parents exactly why I was afraid to sleep alone for two weeks or so.

Angra 09-15-2006 06:46 AM

Mr. Barlow from "Salems Lot" scared the living shit out of me when i was 13.

Unpleasent fellow.

Sukie 09-15-2006 04:46 PM

The garden in Motel Hell. People buried with just their heads out of the ground with burlap sacks over them and their tongues cut out. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
