Legend (1986), The Empire Strikes Back, The Never Ending Story, The Labyrinth , Secret of NIMH and The Dark Crystal.

By far my favoriet out of the entire series, although Alien is a very close second, and 3 and admirable 3rd.

Favorite overall: The Princess Bride
Favorite horror: Evil Dead

Kingshit Sci-fi like Robocop, The Terminator, Blade Runner, not to mention some great work by Carpenter The Thing, They Live, Escape From New York, Big Trouble In Little China and Starman.

Very strong period of film. The flicks had heart and people took more chances.

i gotta go with the obvious....evil dead and labyrinth....there classics.

i loved almost all 80's movies I just watched Teen Wolf. .

Things like The Lost Boys, Evil Dead, Goonies, all the Star Wars, Aliens - there are sooooo many lol :D

the 80's for film are like the 70's for music. There was so much bad going on that it overshadowed all the amazing stuff that was made at the same time... untill you go back and take a long hard second look.

when i think of the 80's - cheap ass cloned slasher flicks immediately come to mind - but looking at what people are mentioning - i would have to agree - there were also a ton of amazing films from the 80's - impossible to pick a favorite.

althoygh Time after Time was made in 1979 i'm sure i didnt see it until the 80's ... so i think of it as an 80s film and it's one of my all time favorite flicks.

also - Flash Gordon, The Keep, and the Cat People remake.

The Shining is my favorite movie made in the 80's by far, but when I think of 80's movies I think of "Night of the Demons" "Sleepaway Camp" "Friday the 13th" etc. Out of those kind of movies, Sleepaway camp is my favorite. It's followed by The Toxic Avenger.
