So, then it won't be better than Army... No one but Raimi should do Evil Dead.

they've been planning this remake for fucking ever now. raimi is producing, so is bruce. ghost house pictures will be putting the movie out. raimi wants a up and coming director to direct. he wants fresh eyes on the series. i think campbell said that there probably won't be an character named ash also.
raimi then plans on making a fourth evil dead film with campbell as the star after he is done with spiderman.
i heard that then raimi would let other people make sequels to the remake and he won't have anything to do with them.

as a fan of the series, i'm susposed to say that i look forward to the sequel and hate the remake, right?
yeah i can't wait for the sequel, like you and every other fan, i've been waiting for ever. but i'll sit through a remake of the movie, especially if raimi and tapert and campbell have some say in it. i actually look forward to the remake.

As DaBruce said, Raimi and Campbell are HEVAILY involved in the production of this. This is one remake that Im not worried about at all, as much as I loved the Evil Dead series.

John Carpenter was involved in the production of The Fog remake, and we all know how that turned out...
