There was a movie that came out in the 70's that was oriented around a group of young men and women finding saitains layer or something. It had a car driving all by itself in the ending. I can't remember the name of it and I want to buy it.

havent seen it since it was 1st out ..

It was "Knifegnome Ultimate Blood Challenge," I'm almost sure of it.

I don't think it's the Car. while it's a good movie, the beginning just starts with the car coming out of nowhere and running some cyclists off a bridge.

unfortunately I don't have any better ideas about what it could be either.

Satan's Layer Cake

A group of teenager's stumble on preparations for the Devil's birthday party...and discover they're just ingredients for the filling.
Of course, the car figures it out first, and gets the hell out of there.
Riveting movie.

I watched this a few months ago. Pretty sure this isn't it. The car drives by itself for the entire duration of the movie, and I don't remember anything that was Satan oriented.
