Help! 80's movie about dead people being stuffed (or something)
 

I am looking for the title of a 80's horror movie I saw years ago! It was a rather scary movie about a family (I think) who was captured by a strange family in a house or on an island.

I remember a scene in which the leading girl pretends to be as insane as the spooky family in order to stay alive, after the rest of her family has been killed. They bring her to a barn where dead people are standing or hanging on the walls. Instead of screaming, the girl claps her hands childishly and cries out something like '...even more dolls for me' or something!

I know this sounds a bit vague but does anyone know the movie I'm talking about?

I read a short story in school called "The Landlady" and she poisoned people and stuffed them, maybe they made a movie out of it.

Was that the story where she gave the guy the tea?

Damn if this movie description doesn't ring a bell. I may very well have seen this film, a long time ago, probably on cable. Or maybe I just THINK I'm remembering a film but it really doesn't exist. Sounds like one of the many TCM ripoffs there were in the 80's...

Hi Filmmaker 2, it definately was a TCM rip off, like you said! It wasn't even a very nice movie, just very scary and haunting (so I guess it was ok after all!)
