I actully think I might (MIGHT!!!!) like this film a little (NOT ALOT) better than Jaws. It's shorter and I like the story. I can't really explain it, but I just MIGHT like it better.

Hooray for you. No shark movie is as good as the original Jaws, especially not sequels of this *franchise*.

Its the best of the sequels but it doesn't top the original for me. At least its better than Jaws: The Revenge or Jaws 3-D. Holy shit those movies sucked cock.

I didn't think it was better than the first movie. BUT. I like it fine, I own a copy on laser and I think it definitely has its moments. It ain't bad! I thought it was competent and certainly watchable. Better than I can say for a lot o' the current crap they shovel into the theatres! God damn right!

As sequels go its a good one but not better than the original. It could have done with a few more of the kids getting killed but I always make an effort to catch it when its on TV.

I also enjoy Jaws 2 a little more then Jaws, not that I do not enjoy Jaws because I think it is by far the Scariest movie ever made. Nothing terrifys me more then Sharks:eek: but if Im going to watch one it will probably be part 2.

Not bad as far as sequels go....but not as good as the first.It obviously lacked the originality of the first one as well as the great characters of Quint & Hooper.

To each his own, but I didn't think it was better nor did I enjoy it more than the original. Alright movie and all, just not as good.

No sequel, no matter how fantastic it is, CANNOT better Jaws.

I will agree on one point though, Jaws 2 was certainly better than 3 & The Revenge, but certainly NOT better than Jaws.

jaws 2 was a hurry-up answer to the box office success of the 1st. it didn't have the great cast, director, or shark (the original mechanical shark was a lot more believable than this one, especially when the shark's jaw bends 90 degrees in one scene). of course the original is the best, but the 3rd and 4th were mildly entertaining (did anyone actually see jaws 3 in 3D?). the 2nd one just sucks all around... accept for the one scene where the diver finds an underwater cave and runs right into the shark. i'll admit, that made jump a little. i'll still watch any of the movies when they're on tv.
