Good and Loud

I was taking a nap yesterday, looking forward to nothing but hamburger helper and late night T.V., when my friend called from downtown Sacramento with two FREE tickets to Ministry with the Revolting Cocks....the show was at the Crest theater, which is awesome because all shows at the Crest are general admission and the place was barely half full....can't really hear much this morning but it was a blast...

What's a really great thing that's happened to you with no warning? Something spontaneous and completely unplanned that made you remember how entertaining life can be?

Well, when I moved out of one of my apartments in Seattle once, my roommate and I never really heard from the landlord. We went our seperate ways, and just figured we didn't get our deposit back for one reason or another. A little over eight months later, when I was having a poor monetary week, my old roomie called me. Apparently, our landlord had been searching for us but hadn't been able to track us down. She finally came in contact with us, and we got our entire deposit back! We hadn't seen each other in a while, so we went out to the bar and got drunk as hell together with the money & caught up on old times.

Yeah!wait....who the fuck is in your Avatar?

ItsAlive75 05-25-2006 12:39 PM

Well I'm always happy when I stay at my folks' house and there's always something to eat when I wake up. I never buy food for my apartment, so it's like Christmas when I wake up and there's spaghetti or chicken patties I can gorge myself on.

Yellow Jacket 05-25-2006 02:14 PM

Well, I can't think of anything right now (everything exciting I've done came to my attention before the event). But, now I want to get laid at Disneyland! :D

2 things...

Saw Jerry Garcia from the 3rd row! It's soooooo cool when you know they look right into your eyes when you're that close.

And...I saw the Eagles once at an outdoor stadium that doesn't exist anymore. Anyway, it was general admission and i was literally in the front with my arms hanging over the stage board. And right in front of me was Timmothy B. Schmidt, on stage, who is sooooo good looking. Again, the eye contact thing, woo-hoo!

And...

Hooked up with an actual author, who helps me out and I get to do research for her.

Are you asking me?

Im sure sure I completly understand the topic of the thread...awesome stuff that just sort of happened out of the blue, right?

Well a few years ago, my family decided to go on vacation to New Hampshire. Not to offend anyone that might live there, but from a tourist's point of view, New Hampshire isnt all that great. Outlet stores and cheap ass theme parks. Anyway, we saw an ad for a place called America's Stonehenge, in a town called Salem N.H. We went there and it was pretty cool, but I got to thinking...I knew we were almost right on the NH/MA border...I knew Salem, Mass was in northern MA...I out 2 and 2 together and begged my parents to take a side trip to the REAL Salem, home of the imfamous which trials.

W-O-W!!

That little side-trip turned a mediocre road trip into one of the best vacations of my life! I highly encorage anyone who has never been to Salem to pack their bags and catch a flight to Boston, which is like a 10 min drive from Salem. Amazing city, I learned alot and had a great time. Ive been wanting to go back ever since...

Anyway, thats my story.

Don't they have real-life reenactments and stuff there? You know, people running around in period costumes accusing everybody of witchcraft and stuff?
