I've seen them both, but what is the point of this thread?

CH is a disturbing exploitation film.

CF is a considerably less realistic cannibal film. It has no where near the effect or weight of the Holocaust.

About Cannibal Holocaust, this was banned because the dead people in it looked so real right? Thank god it wasn't might i say, but weren't there dead animals? It was a good film though...:D

The ifferutable realism of the animal deaths might have driven some souls to the conclusion the human deaths could therefore also be real... but it's a stretch.

More probable is that the film was so widely cut and banned because of the animal deaths, the distribution of footage of which would be illegal in many territories.

I found it amusing how you just jumped in the middle of the conversation and acted like you knew what was up without even paying any attention to the first 6 pages that were written before you showed up. (As evidenced by your relentless badgering of the fact that you thought that I thought the killings were real, when in all actuality, I had said in like the 3rd or 4th post of the entire thread that the 'animal slaughter was real, the human stuff was not.')

Hey douchebag! The film kills live animals and has footage of real executions. It's not absurd to wonder if other parts of it went too far too. They were filming in the middle of the jungle with a bunch of savages in the mid 70s. How hard would it be to cut off one of their dicks and get away with it?

They weren't "actors", they were jungle people. And if you can tell me the name of the "actor" that got his dick cut off and 1 other movie he's been in, I'll send you a fuckin' check in the mail right now because you're full of shit.

In fact, I've got money that says you probably haven't even seen this film and are just preaching from you high horse because a film with 'such major distribution' couldn't possibly kill a savage in the middle of the jungle. Well, why not? They killed plenty of animals and that isn't exactly a socially acceptable thing to put to film, but they did it anyways. That's why it's called an exploitation film. People got exploited.

If you had actually seen this, you wouldnt be ranting like this because you'd probably be wondering the same things that shanks and I were.
