Mike Patton is awesome

I'm not trying to start an argument here, really I'm not. But I think that Patton is quite possibly the most overrated musician ever. I've heard a lot of his stuff (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantomas) and I just don't see what makes him so damn great. Am I missing something that's really obvious to everyone else, or what?

Although, I prefer Lovage to Fantomas.

Mike Patton is definitely pretty cool.

Fantomas is my fave with Faith No More being my least.

Faith No More was my first exposure to Patton, and I got into them when I was really young (I had the hook to Epic stuck in my head for a LOOONG time before I even knew who FNM was), so I'm kindof partial to them. Mr. Bungle was number two, but Lovage took that spot real quick

have you heard that stuff he did with Melt Banana? I like that band anyway, but the addition of Mike Patton was great.

no, not yet. I've only been getting his non-FNM stuff recently

I've known he was awesome for a while (via Faith No More), but have recently been getting into his other bands and side projects (esp. Lovage)

Stuff with Tomahawk is good as well. I like Mike Patton, he's not may favorite but he really deserves stardom in my opinion.

Patton is totally overrated...but it does not mean he's not good

The Fantomas/Melvins Big Band was one of the best shows i have ever gone to

personally Tomahawk is the best thing he has ever done....but then it's not because of him at all....its because it's a noise rock super band...i mean Duane Denison (Scratch Acid, Rapeman, Jesus Lizard), John Stanier (Helmet), and Kevin Rutmanis (Cows, melvins)....a perfect combination
