ok, this is driving me nuts

Has anybody seen the coke commercial with the old guy who's never had a coke before, tries it, and then goes running with the bulls and a bunch of other stuff? If so, WHO is the guy playing the old man? I swear I've seen that guy before but I can't place him

Elvis_Christ 04-11-2006 06:29 PM

I don't know, as long as he's not wearing a Speedo, I don't care. I had the "luxury" of seeing an approx 80 year old guy in a Speedo down in the Caribbean, and I think I've been damaged for life for it.
But, I'll see if I recognize this old man in the commercial if I see it.

Elvis_Christ 04-11-2006 06:37 PM

^^ I bet it gave you enough masturbational material to last for years.

DO they even make speedos srtong enough to hold 300 pound men? *riiiiiippp* Oh god, that would be the worst trip to the beach ever. (for onlookers) :p

The STE 04-11-2006 07:47 PM

Yes dear, the old fart in the Coke commercial. We get off on our tangents, but you know we're not totally stupid. ;)

The STE 04-11-2006 08:03 PM

meh, some are some aren't

mothermold 04-11-2006 08:04 PM

It's the one labeled "First Taste".

He does look familiar, old westerns maybe...at any rate I thought I'd throw you a bone in the form of some visual reference.

Good luck.

I've seen the commercial, but I have no clue as to who he might be.

Maybe he just has one of those faces.

The STE 04-11-2006 08:10 PM

no, I'm 100% sure that I've seen him before now that I've got the commercial (thanks, moldy)

Your welcome.

He has that whole Hal Holbrook thing going on and I've heard that voice before.

Lol, Nice.

ItsAlive75 04-11-2006 08:38 PM

Penny Marshall

The STE 04-11-2006 08:44 PM

argh
I can practically picture him exactly from what I know him from. He was younger, he was playing (I think) someone's dad, but maybe a scientist (unless I know him from more than one thing, which is possible)

monalisa 04-11-2006 08:46 PM

No, you're right, I've seen him too in several movies. Still searching, arg, I'll let you know if I find him!

Haunted 04-12-2006 05:49 AM

Shit, thanks, S. Now, I'm stumped.

Nana_baby 04-12-2006 05:57 AM

wtf????

hammerfan 04-12-2006 06:42 AM

OK, I'm not going to be a lot of help here, but I know quite a few years ago he was on some soap opera, but I can't remember which one. I'm sorry, I can't remember his name. I think he's been on Murder She Wrote a few times, too.

The Flayed One 04-12-2006 07:13 AM

Maybe John Astin?

No, it's not John Astin.

The STE 04-12-2006 08:38 AM

it's Nicolas Coster

http://imdb.com/name/nm0182661/

he's done tons of TV stuff, which is probably why I couldn't quite place him
