A friend and I found this website last night. At first we thought it was a movie, but the story and images freaked us out. We started thinking it might be real and had to turn the lights on! www.thebeingsdisc.com

The website actually doesn't exist, folks, it's all in his mind.

I apologize for labeling this a SPAM post, I really do. Most of the time I just stay away from threads like this, and I posted the "Calm Down Meditation Song" thread, actually, because I thought people were going off a little TOO much and treating all new posters as spam posters and getting angry and so on. I mean, not EVERYONE new here is a no-good dirty spammer.

Wow I've learned my lesson. I post a really interesting site because I have never seen anything like it before, then I go away for the weekend - and get slammed as a spomrot. Well, I live and breathe just like the rest of you.

I'll admit, they got me at first, because I thought it was some conspiracy site, but now I think it's most likely an independent Sci fi/Horror movie. What's intriguing is that all the links on it are real, they all work and the "kbat alien footage" really exists on the net... since October 2005! Which begs the question, if it is a movie, is it based on a real discovery?

Filmmaker 2, (I am assuming you're an independent filmmaker) you should check it out for yourself - obviously a lot of work went into it. Very impressive site for an independent. From what I have seen and heard, it's the largest independent Sci fi/Horror movie site on the net. It kinda feels like Blair Witch, Open Water and Fire In The Sky and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.

Want to know why I even care - I think it is awesome because quite frankly I am so tired of hollywood remakes and tired old formulas. This is edgy and experimental, the antithesis of a studio movie. LONG LIVE THE INDIE!!!!!!!!!:D

You know what's funny? People come in here and post something that irritates us. We show our irritation. Then they accuse us of not realizing what our forum is about. Then they're like, "Hit me with your best shot," as if we're some silly community full of dolts with the combined IQ of a prawn with downs syndrome. This is something that doesn't exactly bug me so much as it just sparks my curiosity on where these people come from and from which pretext their ideas based upon. Apparently, they've had serious forum trauma.

It's tantamount to someone saying that you're stupid and uneducated when in fact you're actually pretty smart with a great education. I mean, it's just ludicrous.

This person has three posts at the time of this writing, and they're all to steer discussion over to some site.

You are absolutely correct, I am new to this website. However, this does not automatically make me a spammer. It's obvious that I am not one. The fact that I am still in here spending my time with you is evidence enough. I assume time is money to spammers, ergo if I was really a spammer what sense would it make for me to stay in here and waste my time?

I read the other topics and I chose general discussion because when I first posted, I wasn't sure what thebeingsdisc was; a game, book, movie, hoax or real, and horror.com seemed like the obvious place to find like minded people to converse with.

I understand that you may not agree with me because we may not have common interests; I support independent films and you clearly do not. If you did, you would be more open to an honest discussion. If you don't want to discuss this topic, I respect your opinion. But please do not hurl insults at me because I do.:D

Yeah, but here's the thing Ms. Penny...

Your first post here was to make us all look at a website. You didn't start a discussion, you didn't show that you were interested in horror per say, just that particular website. We're all a little overly rude here, it's what adds to the charm... So if you want us to look at a website that you may or may not be a part of (I say you are), then do it in the right context.

It's like if I wanted to show a complete stranger my neat pair of shoes... why the fuck would they care?

Let's look at the facts as we now know them:
A) Mar 30- Pennylane, who has never posted once before, puts up the random "oh, a friend and I just happened to find this site. You should all check it out". This practice has become known as "driveby spamming" (well, at least to me anyways). Other members who shall remain nameless to protect the innocent (ha!) notice this familiar act. Comments and accusations are made. It seems to be an open and shut case of self defense when threatened by spamly force. All charges are dropped.
B) Apr 4- Pennylane mysteriously reappears to make second ever post, promising the prior post was not spam at all (an unlikely scenario as in most instances of spamable offenses). The case is opened once more for re-investigation.
C) A familiar pattern begins to emerge: the only posts by Pennylane all occur in the one thread that she is apparently not spamming in, thus continual bumping of the thread and raising the question: was the thread intended as spam or wasn't it ? Does Pennylane have an agenda at getting members to look at the site which I've already forgotten the address of ? Would she have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids ? The world may never know. I already don't care.
