How Well Do You Manage Your Money?

What's the MOST you could do with $10?

Yellow Jacket 02-26-2006 12:31 PM

I'd buy a movie or two, as usual.

filmmaker2 02-26-2006 12:35 PM

I could cook a half-decent albeit simple meal and also rent a cheap video. The people at the liquor store would probably give some some wine or beer on credit for a week.

VampiricClown 02-26-2006 12:35 PM

Hmmmm....I'd usually hang onto it until I got some more money. Then I may splurge and buy a movie or two. I like to always keep at least 200 bucks put back.

ItsAlive75 02-26-2006 12:35 PM

2 burritos from Pancheros

filmmaker2 02-26-2006 12:38 PM

I think Its has the best idea...no cooking. So you could watch a movie from the video shelf. The flower would be a cheap posey from a garage forecourt.

And you could sit on a milk crate or telephone wire spool so you don't have to buy a chair.

Massive slice of pizza + Can of Coke + Cheap Movie = $10

Yeah. You see? Look around. We got everything! The world is ours to enjoy, as far as the eye can see!

(sitting, severely deluded, on milk crate in the middle of a vacant lot)

...holding a pinwheel.

stubbornforgey 02-26-2006 01:07 PM

10$..ooooh..
that would go on petrol ..as i like to roam.
or a packet of ciggies ..9.50$

but hey..my 12 yr old could make 10$ last 2 weeks..
Her allowance is 20$ a week and she shops very cheaply..thats when she does feel like parting with cash.
I turned her mattress on sunday and found all her allowances from weeks gone past ..just lying there.
I asked..but was refused a loan. LOL.

filmmaker2 02-26-2006 01:16 PM

Smart girl.

stubbornforgey 02-26-2006 02:10 PM

yeah..how pathetic is that..mother asking a child for a loan.
Now i feel cheap .

The STE 02-26-2006 02:16 PM

barbra 02-26-2006 03:55 PM

i got a pair of mustard yellow low top chuck taylors for 6 and change. that leaves enough for a pack of basic cadillacs

Posher778 02-26-2006 06:56 PM

vending machines at school. :)

Zero 02-27-2006 06:44 AM

i recently dug up $20 in change from various nooks and crannies in my messy apartment. with that 20, the only money i had in the world, i bought food that made me 2 weeks of dinners. now this was fairly minimal stuff - so i was able to get beer/wine by calling up friends and saying - 'hey, come over for dinner, i'm having soup' - they would inevitably way 'what can i bring,' and i'd say 'how about some beer?'

so, with 10, i imagine i could eat for 7-10 days.

yumm

1beastieibe 02-27-2006 10:30 AM

a pack of cigs and Mcdonalds

Evisē 02-27-2006 10:59 AM

Depends...is this the only money I have? Do I have a checking account/savings? If I don't have any of the above, I'd probably save it, but if I have money elsewhere and I have $10 in my wallet, I would probably use it on gas.
