Favorite Thrill Ride

I don't think this has ever been done before! In honor of spring, meaning six flags opens soon <i'm a six flags fanatic>, what's everyones favorite thrill rides? I don't know about you guys, but mine are:

Tower of Terror at WDW mgm studios, which has got to be the coolest ride ever, because, its the twilight zone!

Acrophobia at Six Flags over Georgia... (sorry the pic is so big)

Both at Universal Studios in Florida.

The Hulk

and SpiderMan

Posher778 02-21-2006 05:07 PM

spiderman definently.

I still argue with people about how Batman: the ride is possibly the best coaster ever.

newb 02-21-2006 05:10 PM

Superman at Six Flags is pretty intense as well.

Posher778 02-21-2006 05:10 PM

Have you ever been on superman: ultimate flight?

The_Return 02-21-2006 05:14 PM

Ill watch any movie you throw at me, but Im a wimp when it comes to this stuff. Id did quite a few at Disney when I was there a few years back, but Disney rides dont exactly compare to stuff like The Hulk. My favourite there was hands down Tower of Terror, followed by Splash Mountain.

RavageRitual 02-21-2006 05:16 PM

alot of the roller coasters at cedar point are amazing.

newb 02-21-2006 05:18 PM

No,Just the one at Six Flags in Massachusetts.

Yellow Jacket 02-21-2006 05:21 PM

This is so goddamned funny because in my Earth Science class we're doing a project on Roller Coasters. It has to do with speed, acceleration, velocity, etc. Anyway, I love roller coasters, but I've only loved them for a short period of time. When I was younger, I was scared shitless of them! Now, I love them! I've only been on the ones at HersheyPark, and my favorite would be The Great Bear. The dangling feeling excited and scared me. I could just see me somehow slip out of my seat and fall off. That thought scares the hell out of me, but it could happen!

Posher778 02-21-2006 05:21 PM

cedar point... i didn't care much for it. I loved millenium force, top thrill dragster, and raptor, but everything else has been done.

I love all the stuff at disneyworld, especially mission space and (crap, i forgot the name) the car themed ride, where... oh.. Test Track. and Space mountain! Damn now i'm in summer mode, i'm going to be all over my friends about going to six flags now.

RavageRitual 02-21-2006 05:42 PM

Cedar Point is like the only theme park ive ever been too. So, thats probobly why it impressed me so much.

definetly

Posher778 02-21-2006 06:02 PM

Ha! YJ you haven't felt fear on an inverted coaster like Great Bear until you ride Batman: the ride. It's SO close to the ground and parts of the track it feels like you're about to kick it, and the first drop is such a sharp curve its truly frightening.

that the one at Six Flags in STL? Yeah, that's a good'un. Unfortunately, I'm boycotting that place because it has become overrun with assholes (the patrons, not the employees.)

Posher778 02-21-2006 06:09 PM

NO. The one at Six flags over GA. It's black, like it should be.

The STE 02-21-2006 06:13 PM

Oh. Ok.

Terrin_the_Vamp 02-21-2006 06:47 PM

I love Six Flags Over Georgia! I can't wait to go this summer. My favorite thrill rides would either be Acrophobia or Superman: The Ultimate Flight(both at Six Flags Over Georgia). I also liked the Hulk at Island of Adventures.

That Hulk thing looks pretty sweet.

I'm weird, my favorite is the Rush Steet Flyer(it may be called something else now) at Six Flags St. Louis. I like the tummy drop. Haven't been there in years though. Too hot, stinky, and crowded.

ItsAlive75 02-21-2006 08:49 PM

Raging Bull or Iron Wolf are the ones that get me all warm and giggly.

stubbornforgey 02-22-2006 01:30 PM

you wanna ride with a thrill..
full of screams..
terrifying..your hair turns gray..
your teeth chatter..your fingers grip hard on to anything solid kinda ride..
DRIVE WITH MY MUM

Posher778 02-22-2006 01:47 PM

the best stuff ever is at six flags over georgia. I'm not saying that because i live 20 minutes away. Everything there is just so... basic.

Jurassic Park
Not so scary, but I love IT!!!!

The Flayed One 02-23-2006 11:19 AM

I really like Cedar Point. The Mantis is cool, but my favorite is still the good old standby The Magnum. I got to sit in the front seat at night when all the lights are on; that completely rocked!

When I was at Disney World one year, they had a kick-ass Alien ride, but I guess it wasn't permanent. Oh yeah, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!

Are you talking about The Alien Encounter? You sat in a dark room and the Alien ran around?

They turned that into a kids attraction. Same idea....only they toned it down with "Stitch" as the alien.

What???

I was there 5-6 years ago, that "ride" scared the shit out of me! Now they changed it to Stitch? Retarted.

Yes! That was awesome! Why the hell did they tone it down and put Stitch in it?! That was one of the best rides I've ver been on!

The first time i went on it [ when it was "Alien Encounter" ] i was quite surprised that Disney would have a "adult only" attraction....especially in "The Magic Kingdom" right across from "Buzz Lightyear".
Well its kid-friendly now fer sure.

I get sick on these rides. I'm a wimp, I know. :(

One that I do remember fondly was the Chaos coaster at Opryland. I grew up in Nashville, so going to Opryland was like a weekly thing almost. This coaster was indoors and had really cool special effects. Not very fast though. Opryland is long gone now.

truly one of the great tragedies of our time.

that ride they had there called "the Screamin' Delta Demon" was badass. Chaos was good, too.

Sad, sad, sad.

I mean really, they already had the kid friendly inroduction, with the cute little thing getting transported....why ruin the rest of it? Grr, Im upset now.

Oh, but if Opryland hadn't closed, we wouldn't have the wonderful Opry Mills Mall. I mean, since Nashville only has ten malls as it is, we would really be missing out on a lot there.

Posher778 02-24-2006 08:06 PM

The only frightening ride at disneyworld is Mission: space. you spin WAYY too fast, and its very intense. I just remember having the "navigator" job, and when the ship stopped right at the edge of the cliff, the voice was like, don't make any movement!. so i started pushing all the buttons and shaking the cart and stuff..:D typical me.

But, acrophobia at six flags, is the, scariest ride, on the planet. Not the actual drop, which is amazing and the biggest rush you could EVER imagine, but the rising tension and suspense of being lifted, legs hanging down, 200+ feet straight up, and then having the evil ride people say stuff like, "were dropping you in 10! 9! 8! DROP.....bastards

bloodygurl02 02-27-2006 02:48 PM

Posher778 02-27-2006 05:58 PM

Amalthea 02-28-2006 12:43 AM
