as for me, well, i couldn't get into it |
You may like it if you are a fan of really bad and really weird films. I have it, and I watch it from time to time.
The girls are badly photographed but some of them are cute. Criswell is great as the Lord of the Underworld or whatever he's supposed to be. There is also a great vampire girl who is sort of his assistant. And there is a mummy and a werewolf. The mummy costume does not look like something custom-made for the film...possibly it is a cheap rental costume, and possibly it is the same costume used for a mummy creature in "Ghost in the Invisible Bikini." There is certainly no other film like this one...I recall showing it to someone, and he just got madder and madder as the film went on because it was so incompetently made...but if you LIKE that sort of thing... |
the funny thing is - i KNEW the one person who would defend this film would be filmmaker
|
he's good for that. a friend to all fuckups that filmmaker is. Why else would he spend time here with us?
|
ha ha ha ha ha haaaaa
Man, maybe you're right. |
I really wanna check this one out but haven't found a copy over here that doesn't cost a retarded amount of money.
|
May I recommend a cheesy old VHS copy off of half.com? It's almost as good as a DVD, or maybe it's better, depending on what you like. Well, whatever the case, it's probably cheaper.

ive never heard of it in my life
|
And some people would say you're better off because of it.
|
I have it and love it.
|
Well, it's obvious that you enjoy, er, the FINER things in life.
For those who understand the joy of it, there is really nothing like sitting down and watching "Orgy of the Dead." Very good with popcorn and a few good friends. |

I made a copy of 'Orgy' and 'Necromania' from my buddy's Ed Wood collection while visiting in Florida a month ago. I think he has everything even remotely connected to Ed (including documentaries about him). The routines tend to drag on after awhile and it's all pretty pointless, but the Woodian dialogue of course is priceless. CK |
Ah, actually I did see Mondo Topless a few months ago, and I did enjoy it quite a bit. But it's not the same as a stripper movie featuring Criswell as the Lord of the Underworld or whatever, shouting "More gold! MORE GOLD, ahh ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ahhhh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!"
