So...Now, I'm curious...


Could you guys PLEASE go flush, and let me know whether the water drains clockwise or counterclockwise...And whether you live north or south of the equator?

We can settle this debate, once and for all...

flushing my toilet means dumping this mop bucket out in the back yard, would that be clockwise or counter clockwise?

I could, but I'm not going to. It's cold out. I suppose I could dump the bucket into my toilet and flush it, or just use the toilet, but then I wouldn't be able to use this awesome bucket.

at work it's clockwise, on the first and second floor men's rooms. I'm in SD, so above the equator.

Hmm...I'm not sure that we have enough information, from enough sources, to prove this yet...

We REALLY need some input from some people that live south of the equator so that we can test this out...

Especially now that Kemal AND Angela have called the validity of this theory into question...

i just flushed mine twice(and resisted the urge to drink from it...baby steps people)and it's definately counter-clockwise here in Ohio.

your right!i did an experiment(i dropped a cottonball in the bowl)and it definately turned clockwise......i guess just staring at swirling water does'nt cut it.

Once again The Simpsons shall show us the answer. When Bart is taken to Australia to be punished for a reverse charge phone call, they had a machine in the US Embassy which ensured the toilet flushed CLOCKWISE so all americans wouldn't feel homesick. All toilets south of the equator flush counter-clockwise and its all to do with the magnetic pull from the nearest pole. The real question should be which way does it go down when you're on the equator?
